May's Gluten Free Market

Since my first visit last week, I have been back to May’s 3 times to get more food. I am so grateful to have an allergy friendly place so close to home! I love the empanadas and large selection of GF items that are often hard to find.

What a treat to have a store like this. There were a couple items that are manufactured in facilities that also processed wheat but by and large almost the whole store was celiac safe.

— Excellent

What an excellent selection of GF foods and some food that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The prices are also good. The freshly baked goods are delicious and light and not heavy/dense like most GF baked goods. The hot empanadas are so good and so is the Stromboli (I’ve been there a few times already and have tried a few different kinds). The crusts on both the empanadas and the Stromboli are so flaky that you’d never think they’re GF. This small store has an excellent selection of everything gluten free, including teas, vitamins, frozen and fresh foods, mixes, cookies, crackers, chocolates and more. Celeste posts the weekly specials menu on FB and Instagram and also does an update via a daily video. If you have Celiac and eat GF foods or know someone who does, support this small, local business. It is truly a gem.

A lovely little GF grocery store! Many hard to find items and some I didn't even know existed. It seems they have a small selection of prepared foods each day. Nice to be able to go to one spot to do your GF shopping rather than six different grocery stores plus some online shopping!

One major and very frustrating drawback is that the vast majority of the items are not priced (this is totally legal in RI). This made it next to impossible to shop. Something to consider and be prepared for.

Such a gem of a small grocery store, completely dedicated to gluten free eating! Great selection of gf products, local bakeries, and some prepared foods.
