Delicious brunch- lots of GF options with minimal modifications. Wait staff is very knowledgeable as well.

Had brunch here today and was happily surprised by how easy it was to eat here. There are plenty of options that don’t need any modifications, which is always an A+ in my book.
My server also happened to have celiac disease, making the experience extra safe and trustworthy.

I have eaten a few times and find the food high quality! I had a mushroom skillet with a gravy with poached eggs and would order again. The GF bread is actually good. Will continue to eat here for great brunch and safe eating
Medina has a couple of gf options that I always get. If you dont mind LOUD restaurants and long waits this is a cool place to check out. I also love the lavender latte here. We dont go as much anymore because I cant take how loud it is.

Lovely restaurant with a fun atmosphere. Didn’t even get a chance to see how much could be made gluten free because my first choice they assured could be! Food was delicious and we saw gluten free Scharr products in the kitchen, which is what we think the bun was on the side of the meal. All in all very delicious with interesting options.

A bit of a wait, but staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. My server was also celiac which made me feel even more at ease. Food was delicious and there was lots of choice. They had gluten free bread as well.

My husband and I have been to Vancouver several times, and on our last trip, we were finally able to visit Medina Cafe. Our experience seems completely different than the experience of others. First and foremost, I know they are busy and want to seat as many people as possible, but it was incredibly, uncomfortably, crowded. I had to lean into my husband, so I wouldn’t hit the man next to me (we were seated at the bar). Let me recommend they remove on barstool!
The service was okay. We were checked on several times, but the server seemed rushed. The food was the most disappointing part. I had some sort of skillet- with eggs, a red sauce, sausage, and bacon. The portion was small, and my bacon was all fat. For the price, it is disappointing to leave hungry.
The only good thing about this place is they somehow managed to serve me a gluten free meal without cross contamination.

Great meal! The host at the door was able to quickly address my questions regarding how the restaurant controls for cross-contamination issues. The majority of the menu is GF so there was a nice range of options to pick from. The server was quickly able to point out the menu items that were not GF. She was also able to answer my questions about some additional ingredients that I have issues with. Most importantly, I felt great after the meal. Would definitely go back.

Delicious! They have gluten free bread and most of the good is naturally gluten free. Atmosphere was cute and open. Very busy but buzzing with youth and chatter. The salmon breakfast was the best!
Delicious food and our server was knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free. Lots of skillet choices that seem like safe options.
