I have seen this place on google lots of times and have always wanted to try it. I get really nervous about trying new restaurants but after reading some good things about them in a local Facebook group, I decided it was time to give them a go.
Let me first and foremost say that Carrabas is and probably will always be my favorite Italian restaurant. This place instantly lost points soon as I walked in the door. It truly is like a redneck version of Carrabas.
I looked at the menu over and over, contemplating on what I was going to order. I knew I wanted pasta, but I was torn between a few dishes. After talking with the server, I decided to steer clear of almost everything. The staff is not very knowledgeable about their gluten free menu.
They offer gluten free penne pasta for an up charge, but it does not specify which dishes can actually be made gluten free. When I asked her, she said she would ask the kitchen and be back. When she came back, she said “only the penne pasta can be made gluten free”. When I asked her which dishes could be made gluten free, she didn’t understand what I was asking. I ended up asking her if the chicken Marsala was breaded, and she said yes. I asked if the Alfredo sauce had flour in it, she seemed to be confident that it did not. I went with the chicken Alfredo.
It took quite a while for our food to come out. When it did, it came out nice and hot. The penne was swimming in an overwhelming bowl of very bland Alfredo sauce. The small chicken pieces tasted like it had been boiled and unseasoned. There were also chunks of onion mixed in which caught me off guard. I ate less than half and was done.
My fiancé ordered the stuffed pasta shells (non GF). They were definitely over cooked. The shells were hard. My daughter had chicken Alfredo also but didn’t eat much. I don’t expect a lot out of a 2 year old 😂
All in all, the food was underwhelming and over hyped. For the price, I don’t think I’ll return.

We’ve been before and had excellent experience. But lately all new staff, have no idea of GF brought bread to the table, completely messed up our order so I’m very concerned if it was even GF.
