Pizza was just ok. Sauce was tasty but the crust was like very much like cardboard. Sauce was tasty but I had plenty of a reaction the next day. Won't be ordering again. 3 stars just because they tried

This is not a good restaurant on any front! Our waitress was completely rude, acted bothered, barely served us and brushed off our celiac needs. We did not get sick, thankfully, but nothing was enjoyable. Prices are way too high for the sub par quality of the food. Extra charge for a pizza on GF and it was burnt, flavorless and very small. My husbands burger was room temp, stale roll, no sides other than a very small dip container holding 6 tater tots that were frozen then microwaved and mushy. Do not trust and food was only edible because we had no options for miles and swam in the ocean all day.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. I have celiac disease and am very sensitive to even the slightest cross contamination. The Mellow Mushroom has 4 pizzas on their menu that are certified gluten free, made with only certified gluten free ingredients. I had the house special gluten free pizza (basically a supreme pizza). It was delicious and I did not have any reaction. The pizzas are made with ancient grain pizza crust and made separately and safely. Our waitress was great as well. I mentioned I had celiac the second we sat down. She took the time to explain to me about the certified pizzas, as well as other options on the menu that are naturally gluten free or could be made gluten free. I am looking forward to returning to try another pizza and possibly the baked wings, which the waitress said were naturally gluten free. The also have a certified gluten free brownie, which I would also like to try!

We got the gf pizza and it came on a separate tin platter. They brought it out before everyone else’s meal just to keep it separate.

What I loved about this place was that they had delicious food all around, for both the people with Celiac and the people who can eat gluten. Everyone left happy. Also we spoke with the owner, and he didn’t freak out when we said our daughter has Celiac. Often restaurant owners will freak out and immediately start saying that they can’t guarantee our food will be safe. This owner was very friendly and said we were in good hands. My daughter is very sensitive to cross-contamination, and she did not get sick! Hooray!

Great pizza! Awesome atmosphere too. Been going back a lot since they’ve been opened!

Gluten free wings and pizza!!!

Enjoyed the GF pizza with vegan cheese. Salads are also a great option and you can customize your pizza or salad. Loved the atmosphere as well! Worth a visit (or two)!

My first experience with Mellow Mushrooms was great. I ordered a gluten free veggie pie . I had great service and a safe meal despite it being packed.

My second experience was far from okay. My table ordered 2 gluten free pizzas. One came out 45 mins later. Then the manager came to tell us that they burnt the other pizza and will be making us a new one. It took another hour for the new pie to come out. We paid and left,within an hour I was incredibly sick. I'm severely sensitive to gluten and haven't been that sick in years. I was so disappointed as they claim to keep everything separate and what not. It wasn't even busy so there is absolutely zero reason my pizza was a)messed up b)got my glutened

Went to one in FL and was so happy to see one here in Toms River. Their gluten free menu states "you are no longer a second class citizen". Separate gluten free area. The house special GF Pizza is amazing according to my son.

Much better when eating it in person. I’ve never had a bad experience at any mellow mushroom when dining in, but take-out and delivery is 50/50 depending on the location. Unfortunately, for this location, take-out and delivery should be avoided if you cannot have cross-contact. I’ve had to stop ordering and tell family/friends that while yes, we can eat there, please don’t order it for parties.

Ordered a gluten free pizza and have no complaints whatsoever. Amazing taste, and no symptoms after. Server seemed knowledgeable, etc. honestly one of the better GF pizzas I’ve had. Since it’s a chain, always make sure to ensure your dietary needs.

Great GF pizza and vegan cheese option for the dairy free folk! Everything tastes great and I was assured they made GF food separately. The brownie dessert was good too for a frozen and wrapped treat, it tasted like a Little Debbie’s cosmic brownie!
