Mels Diner

Went last night for karaoke ( it’s every Wednesday) and ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers , side of fries and a burger salad. Cheeseburger on a bed of lettuce . Fries were cold/ lukewarm and not crispy . Burger was also cold/lukewarm. It was supposed to have tomatoes, pickles and cucumber mixed in. I found one small piece of tomato and cucumber and no pickles ! I ordered white wine ( not a full bar). My hubby ordered chicken fries steak w mashed potatoes and broccoli. Mashed minus the gravy are probably gf ( would have to ask) and broccoli was just steamed . A friend ordered the grilled shrimp that looked good. I didn’t get sick but I won’t order the fries or burger Salad again. I will do the poppers because they are a treat !

I was nervous about this small town dinner, but it was excellent! My daughter didn’t get sick at all. She also can’t have dairy & the waitress was amazing, she took it very seriously and communicated to the kitchen staff about our needs. We will definitely return any time we are traveling thru the area!
