I was given the vegan pancakes instead of the gluten free :( since both are made with buckwheat I couldn’t immediately tell from the taste, but after a few bites thinking something might be off and realizing it looked the same as my friend who intentionally ordered the vegan, I checked. Guy had put the order in as both vegan, no gluten free. They don’t seem very celiac safe, but maybe they’re good if you’re gf by choice or more mild intolerance.

Got a sandwich on allegedly gf bread and was very sick afterwards. While it has a lot of “gluten free” options, would not recommend for celiacs, only those with more mild intolerance

I eat at Meme’s frequently and I’ve never gotten sick. They even confirmed an unmarked order (that was ordered by my coworker) was gluten free by sending a picture via text (the gf wrap looks different than the non-gf one).

can’t speak to cross contamination, but a really delicious and friendly place. GF bread options for all sandwiches, and the home fries are also gluten free. dairy free and vegan options too, plus an assortment of excellent smoothies and juices. worth a stop for fellow IBD-ites!

I don't understand why it doesn't have better ratings. We have repeated several times during our stay in NY and that we had to walk a good distance. But it's worth it. Many gluten free options and all delicious. From waffles and pancakes, to omelettes and shakes.

Use extreme caution. I asked questions and pretty much all food is going to be cross contaminated here. The gf waffles are made in the same waffle maker as regular waffles... They shouldn't even be labeled gf that point. They clearly don't get it.
I will say that I've been able to get "safe" smoothies here though, they're willing to clean the blender for you even when they're really busy. I usually say I'm allergic to oat milk and some of the other add ins to keep it simple.

muffin i had was disgusting and not worth the risk of CC. threw it away. everything seems to be cooked with shared surfaces and utensils so i wouldn’t do it

Gluten Free sandwiches, pancakes, and waffles. I had an avocado & tomato egg sandwich and it was excellent. The vibe is super welcoming and I didn’t get sick at all.

Had fluffy pancakes for the first time in a while. It was delicious. I am not celiac so I don't know if there is cross contamination. I was told they use rice flour.
Delivery took a while. Limited seating outside.

Great celiac-friendly tofu scramble! Staff knows their stuff. Be sure to check the labels of packaged goods, I discovered that there may be a cross-contamination risk with their gluten-free brownies.
Yes
They make their gluten free crepes on the same state as the regular ones. I asked, and all gluten free items are prepared on equipment or in areas that are cross contaminated. Didn't bother to eat here.
No
Meme's has good gluten free options and most of their staff is very knowledgeable about what is and isn't gluten free. It has good food and a nice atmosphere.
