Husband is celiac, super severe reactions to cross contamination. Merlin’s ROCKS!! Lots of options for both delivery & take out - we prefer to call on phone so that we can specify that we are celiac. They are aware of cross-contamination and we have had no issues (back in 2020 or 2024). Some toppings are NOT GF so just double check with workers. Only bad thing is that the pizzas are small, so we order 2. Just gives you more flavors to try!!

Still sitting here and I had to post the review before I left! Jacey, our waitress was JAM UP. She was the only one serving a whole dining room. Our food was amazing! I have celiac and they be sure to use different knives, cutting boards, etc. I felt very safe to eat here! Will def come back!

We ate here in 2019 and they we safe, so now that we're back, I called and asked about their protocols and they checked all the boxes and sounded like they really take the proper care. Placed a takeout order for our big family, only one pizza needed to be gluten free, but again they assured me of their protocols and the true test is that there were no reactions and we're super sensitive celiacs!

Had a side salad and a caprese pizza. Pizza was awesome- crust nice and crispy. Menu warns of possible cross contamination but I am very sensitive and had no reaction. Nice waitress noted allergy on my ticket. Whole family loved this place!

Love this place. I was so unsure of what to get since I also have tomato and a Solei of other allergies. Me an my family were visiting and Mary walked me through EVERYTHING. Got a GF cheese bread, GF Vegeterian with olive and garlic base, and a normal large cheese for my family. 10/10 all around. And they deliver.

Great baked wings and salad! GF pizza pretty standard. Non-GF group likes their pizza. No reactions here and happy to have wings.

We were so excited to try this gluten free pizza place. We got butter chicken pizza, gf cheese bread, and wings. My little brother is celiac. Everything was fine until about 3/4 hours after we ate. He threw up shortly after we got home. I know this place has good reviews and so maybe we were just unlucky.

This place is NOT gluten friendly. I read all these reviews before we went. My son and I chowed down so much of the pizza. I started getting symptoms so I tested some of the pizza with my Nima detector and it found gluten. These reviews are misleading and this app is dangerous. I don’t recommend this place or this app.

We were able to order pizza that was delivered quickly. We ordered by phone and they were able to answer my gluten crust questions. Our gluten free crust was thin and crispy. The toppings were greasy. This made for a delicious gluten free pizza choice.

Please do not skip this resteraunt while in Destin. My gluten intolerant carnivore husband and my picky , vegan celiac taste buds were pleased with these pizza. We travel often and agree this is the second best gluten free pizza joint we have been. The crust are shipped in. There are separate utensils and baking pans for these pies. They have Daiya cheese for those who need dairy free.

I have celiac. Absolutely delicious GF garlic bread, some of the best I’ve had. And the shrimp GF pizza was fantastic, even reheated. No negative reaction. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Had a great experience at Merlin’s. I ordered a gluten free 2 topping pizza and some gluten-free garlic cheese bread. No issues or symptoms. Both items tasted delicious and warmed up well. I will definitely keep this restaurant on my go to for a quick lunch or dinner.

We had a GF sausage pizza and GF cheese bread sticks. They were both the best I’ve ever had! My wife does not have Celiac like me and she loved them. No reactions at all! Would definitely recommend this place! Super tasty!

We actually found this place based on this app - and it did not disappoint! It is a very small place with super friendly staff. Our waitress was trained in GF, knew what we were talking about and said staff changed gloves, used separate utensils, etc. I waited a day to ensure my daughter did not get sick before writing this and - success! She said it was one of the best cheese pizzas she’s had! We had (mild) Buffalo chicken and it was amazing! We are thinking of heading back or doing carry out while here on vacay

Gluten Free Pizza - great pizza, family had regular. It is our go to pizza place in Destin. Stomach felt bloated and hurt within an hour. Definitely gluten somewhere in there.

Second best Gluten free pizza we have found in our extensive travels in America! There are only a couple of toppings (I think 3) that are not gluten free. Super nice and knowledgeable staff. Small locally owned business with just a few tables so be prepared if you want to eat in. Don’t miss out on the gluten free cheese breadsticks. Celiacs had no issues afterwards.

Hands down best gf pizza we’ve had in two years. They also have a gf cheesy bread which was terrific. The only downside is that the only gf crust they have is the small size - so personal pizzas only for the celiac crowd. But there are so many gf topping and sauce choices, and they use a tasty gf butter garlic on the pizza crust. The staff is very knowledgeable and was clear that there isn’t a separate kitchen space, but they have all separate kitchenware, cutting boards, pizza cutters, etc. My son’s pizza was even artfully decorated like the rest of ours - he was over the moon.

Ordered two gluten free pizzas and one regular. Amazing! Took home left overs and it tasted just as good the next day. I drive 45 minutes for this pizza an will continue to do so.

I had the GF cheese pizza and ordered extra cheese like I always do, the pizza was thin crust and crispy not soggy at all. I felt safe eating, they changed gloves, used new cutter, and made sure to use a clean pan. Was an enjoyable experience! I just wish it was a little larger or thicker, it was a small thin 10" maybe pizza.

Good tasting gluten free pizza. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and chicken pesto pizza. They take great care to avoid cross contamination. Nima tested both pizzas and they were gluten free. I’m a super sensitive celiac and didn’t get sick.

The hype is real and deserved. Rather simple pizza shop, but don't let that discourage you. AMAZING Pizza and GF baked Chicken Wings They use standard frozen 10" pizza crusts, BUT, they have figured out some way to make them amazing. We had the 7 cheese and the Hawaiian. For wings we had the mild and Garlic Parm. Both awesome. Highly recommend!

My daughter is a very sensitive celiac and did not have any issues after eating here. If not for the other reviews on this website, we would not have even glanced at Merlin's. But the service was fantastic and the staff is very well educated about strict GF protocols. Our server even went so far as to wash her hands and change gloves before doing drink refills. We ended up eating here twice during our 5-day stay because we had such a great experience. Try the GF cheese bread (and their non-GF pizza is really good, too). Highly recommended!

Loaded up bbq chicken pizza and cheesy breadsticks! I am very sensitive celiac and wouldn't normally try a new place like this but hence all the great reviews, here I am. Besides adjusting to the flour smell in the air (yes that bothers me too) this place is great. Very knowledgable and the only toppings you can't have are the meatballs, alfredo sauce, and imitation crab. I will definitely add this place to the list not to miss when in Destin. 😋
