We loved Metro before my 13 year olds Celiac diagnosis. We tried it once, maybe 6 months ago and she ordered a Philly cheese steak and LOVED it. Then went again recently, made clear she has Celiac and verified the philly cheese steak could be made GF. She ate it, loved it and then spent the whole night in the bathroom ill. Love them as a restaurant but leery of safety for Celiac.

Great breakfast options. Risk of possible contamination due to shared kitchen space but that is clear on the separate Gluten Friendly menu that you can ask for. Staff helpful and friendly. Food fast and yummy!

Had the chicken salad on a GF bun with a side of seasonal fruit. Very good. Options included omlets, burgers, and salads. They have a while GF menus and I think it is available online. Staff was very friendly!

This location offers a separate gluten free menu and staff will change gloves or clean anything if asked. My husband and I go All the time for breakfast but they can make lunch and some dinner options gluten free. I always order the veggie omelette with hash browns and gluten free toast which is delicious!!!

Ordered via door dash- no GF items available. Called restaurant and added GF bread to door dash order and paid separately. Got regular bread with order and got very sick.
Paid for GF and did not get it. Ended up getting sick.

Update: my daughter was Glutened here. It was the first time since going GF and I was ready to take her to the ER. My co-worker who has Celiac, said both times she ate here she has had reactions from gluten.
Our first waitress was horrible, treating both my wife’s raspberry allergy and my daughters celiac as a joke. We talked to a manager and got a different server who took great care of us. The manager also gave us 20% off of our check.
Our daughters split an omelette with hash browns and it included GF toast.

This was the best experience I’ve had so far at a restaurant. They gave me a gluten free menu right away with many different options and notified two of the managers who came to my table to explain exactly how my meal was going to be prepared and checked on me throughout the whole meal. They used particular barely used clean pans for people with gluten allergies. Their gluten free bread is delicious and is toasted on the salamander to avoid any possible cross contamination. I have never felt so cared for in a restaurant like I did here. I will be back!

Went to the Metro diner for breakfast. They can only offer gf toast. Not cooked separately. The waitress didn’t even know where a gf menu was. Stay away if your celiac

I love Metro Diner. They are incredibly accommodating, have a large gluten free menu, and take careful precautions. Their gluten free substitutions are very high quality (the sandwich buns are some of the best gf buns I’ve had, you can’t even tell) and many of their items are already gluten free. I’ve never gotten sick here, or at any Metro location, and the waitress here even went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Delicious food, fun atmosphere, and I feel great!

They have a gluten free menu upon request. Servers were very knowledgeable and were upfront about the fact that there was no fryer dedicated to GF food. They recommended substitutions for fries and tater tots because they couldn’t ensure that fries would be safe

My mother-in-law ‘loves a diner’ and Metro is our spot - about once a month. I’ve only been diagnosed w celiac disease for 3 months so I’m still navigating it all but I was very impressed w/ Metro. They do not have ‘GF’ indicated on the menu but I’ve had multiple waitresses be very aware and helpful when I tell them ‘celiac’. I usually get an omelet and grits and GF toast. FYI - I asked and they buy Udi’s brand (from Publix) - which is actually very good GF bread.
