They have a separate gluten free menu with a number of options. Waitress was knowledgeable. Shared toaster for gf and non gf bread so be aware of cross contamination possibilities.

This place has one of the best gluten free menus for breakfast and lunch that I’ve ever seen! There were so many delicious options that I had a hard time deciding what to eat. I finally decided on a chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread with a side of cheesy grits. Loved it! I can’t wait to go back here again.

Celiac boyfriend Order breakfast items for dinner. Taste was good but 2 hours later he ended up with debilitating stomach pains vomiting and diarrhea. Not sure if it was cross contamination or food poisoning or both. We have been here before with no trouble this time was just bad on our part for not triple checking how they prepared our food.

Had a great breakfast with gluten free toast from a dedicated toaster. Their gluten free menu is easily found on the website.

Spoke with waiter. He assured me they take measures for celiac (severe allergies-his words). I had eggs, grits, sausage and GF toasts. They use a separate toaster. Food was good and I’m glad to find GF places for breakfast.

Good selection, no confidence in staffs knowledge of celiac. Definitely not a dedicated kitchen.

The waitress and the manager were super helpful. The menu is smaller currently due to COVID-19 but still plenty of options and gf bread. I enjoyed a Metro patty melt on gf toast with hash browns. Will definitely go back.
Really good!
My husband loved what he ate as well, he is not gluten free and ate items I could not. Looked good for sure.

Gluten free bread and dedicated toaster. Enjoyed having toast with my eggs and bacon. They also carry Dickson's jelly and had blackberry, my favorite. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Staff was very knowledgeable. Big GF menu. GF bread was very good. Make sure to tell them it’s an allergy so they take extra precautions and don’t toast the bread on the grill. Had a breakfast sandwich that had tons of meat! Very good and not super expensive! Definitely will be back!
They have many options for their gluten friendly menu. Good tasting food.

Had lunch and ordered a burger. They have gluten free buns. My allergies are more than just gluten and they were very accommodating.
I ate here twice; had dinner and breakfast and all of it was delicious with no problems! They double checked that I had an allergy and I am a sensitive celiac and they were fantastic and attentive! Great service!

Friendly , attentive staff and several GF options.
Staff was knowledgeable and was happy to let us know about the gluten free toast that was available!
Went to the Metro diner for breakfast. They can only offer gf toast. Not cooked separately. The waitress didn’t even know where a gf menu was. Stay away if your celiac

I love Metro Diner. They are incredibly accommodating, have a large gluten free menu, and take careful precautions. Their gluten free substitutions are very high quality (the sandwich buns are some of the best gf buns I’ve had, you can’t even tell) and many of their items are already gluten free. I’ve never gotten sick here, or at any Metro location, and the waitress here even went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Delicious food, fun atmosphere, and I feel great!

They have a gluten free menu upon request. Servers were very knowledgeable and were upfront about the fact that there was no fryer dedicated to GF food. They recommended substitutions for fries and tater tots because they couldn’t ensure that fries would be safe

My mother-in-law ‘loves a diner’ and Metro is our spot - about once a month. I’ve only been diagnosed w celiac disease for 3 months so I’m still navigating it all but I was very impressed w/ Metro. They do not have ‘GF’ indicated on the menu but I’ve had multiple waitresses be very aware and helpful when I tell them ‘celiac’. I usually get an omelet and grits and GF toast. FYI - I asked and they buy Udi’s brand (from Publix) - which is actually very good GF bread.
