Food was absolutely delicious. I had no negative effects that I would get if there was gluten cross contamination. The only downside was that I did not have a lot of confidence. The girl who took my order seemed annoyed and indifferent when I asked about GF items and cross contamination. She acted like it was a burden and had an attitude. What might seem repetitive to an employee who works there all day and gets tired of a question, is incredibly important to someone else who becomes very ill when consuming any gluten. I was very nervous ordering from her and almost left and went to Homespun. However, I’m glad I stayed. It was the best burger and bun I have had in a long time and I am confident it was GF since I felt great afterwards. The fries were fantastic too. My whole family enjoyed their meals.

Delicious GF bun and fries. There is a dedicated fryer. You have to tell the person taking your order that you have a gluten allergy or Celiac for them to prepare your food correctly. Was nervous about the bun because it was so good, asked twice if it was gluten free cause it was that good. No reactions.

I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun, but there must have been a mix-up in the kitchen because after my lunch, I got very sick from the food. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for someone with celiac, or if you do end up going there, make sure the staff is more knowledgeable about gluten than the people that served me :(

I am sorry you had a poor experience. We use a dedicated fryer and all of our GF buns are kept separate from our regular buns.

This restaurant just opened. Same owners as Kitchen Sink who also have great gluten free options. The chef/owner is very knowledgeable about cross contamination and speciality diets/allergies. They found a super tasty gluten free bun for burgers. Highly recommend.

Conflicted about leaving a review here, but just to possibly help someone else. Lots of good ratings on here and Gluten Dude approved. The employees were very knowledgeable when I ordered and I felt safe eating there- they reassured me separate fryer for the fries, they had gluten free buns. They brought my food out separately and confirmed it was gluten free. I truly feel like they did their part- I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. The bun was delicious and I had to do the double check- “Are you sure this is gluten free!?” and they confirmed.

My “glutening” episodes usually start two hours after eating gluten like clockwork- I was at a concert and the nausea started, and my vomiting episode started in a public space- which is my worst nightmare! I called and the same employee that was there earlier confirmed all gf precautions were taken. He seemed sincere, but did mention the buns were from a bakery in Coldspring. Some of the previous reviews mentioned Udi’s buns, so I’m wondering if the bun itself was cross contaminated before ever getting to the restaurant if the bakery isn’t dedicated GF.

Eat at your own risk. If you’re sensitive to CC ask about where the buns are from before ordering. If I knew the GF buns were possibly from a shared bakery I would not have eaten here.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. All of our GF buns are made in a GF bakery. We do not use large brand names buns. Our buns are locally sourced and are also dairy and soy free. All employees are well versed in the background of our GF buns.

Went for a lunch with my husband and sons. We all enjoyed a burger with fries. My burger was on a GF bun and was delicious! The fries are made in a dedicated fryer, so they were safe for me too.

Celiac Absolutely love this place I go at least once a week. 2 of the cooks have loved ones with celiacs. Doesn't hurt to walk by the kitchen and confirm ur order to be gluten free

We had a conversation with the girl working there about what they have Gluten Free and then ordered the hamburger. 3/4 the way through the burger I questioned another staff if this bun was really gluten free because it didn’t seem like it. He said that’s not the gluten free bun. Going to be very sick soon now. Double check them. Apology was lame considering how sick this will make me

Went here since we had a day in Beacon with family and wanted to eat somewhere I knew I could and this place did not disappoint! The burgers are not only delicious, I explained I had celiac and the staff did everything to accommodate me. No cross contamination, my food was brought out separately, and I felt so cared for! Highly recommend if you want a great burger and fries and want to feel at home.

They're very friendly and knowledgeable about gluten and how to keep it off your plate. Udi’s buns are kept individually wrapped until ready to be served. There’s a dedicated fryer for French fries only.

What a wonderful experience for my son (celiac) Separate fryer. Very accommodating. The bartender even took the time to look up look up the contents of the sodas they serve. I explained to the staff that I was concerned about cross contamination and she assured me that the kitchen would receive special instructions re: absolutely no gluten cross contamination, and that it wasn’t “just for a gluten free diet.” They got it. Plus the food is amazing .....and local beef as well. When they brought my son’s food out, they brought it out separately and on his own tray. So thankful for places like this.

Had a great burger and fries yesterday, all delicious! The burger was cooked to perfection, and the GF bun was soft and tasty. We are in the patio area out back, and it was lovely. I'll definitely go back--it's not often that l can eat fries and a burger on such a nice bun!
