Review of Mezcalito

I had high hopes for trying this place, but was ultimately disappointed in the experience. I called the day before we went and asked if they had celiac-safe gf options. The individual I spoke with said there were lots of options and my server could assist. When we arrived for dinner, our server was unable to indicate what would be gf and safe to eat; when I asked if he could check with the kitchen, he refused to ask. I finally consulted with another staff member who did confirm with the kitchen about an item I could order. The process of finding a safe item to eat was very frustrating.

The menu is expansive with items containing lots of components and sauces. The menu isn’t marked for gf items.

Everyone at the table (three other non-celiacs) enjoyed their food and drinks. Overall, the vibe is a fun place to hang out with indoor and outdoor seating options.
