I asked our waiter if there was anyone in the kitchen that I could talk to about food allergies, and he said no. Next I asked if the chips were fried in a dedicated fryer, and he didn't know.
The language barrier with all waiters was an issue, but the fact that they weren't prepared for and didn't recognize the question I wasn't confident in eating anything here.
