Staff was very accommodating as we had our two kids with us. Hostess could not have been any nicer. The gluten free options are tremendous. Dedicated GF fryer and a GF lobster roll made our night. Would definitely recommend if in the area!

They have a wonderful GF menu and we felt very safe eating there with our daughter who has Celiac. Unfortunately none of us liked our meals. Maybe it was an off day but we likely will not return.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a while! I got the coconut rice, shrimp, scallops and green beans. They left off the mango rum sauce because I have a soy allergy. Almost the ENTIRE menu is marked gluten free, including things like chicken tenders that you normally wouldn’t find. Super accommodating and the food was great. View is beautiful, to top it off!

Wow what a great spot if anybody who’s gluten free and haven’t had fried seafood platter. Great job to the head chef, who is also Celiac! My husband and I share the seafood platter for one and it was enormous🥰

Only ONE item wasn't or couldn't be made gf. All fryers are gf. I ordered the fisherman's platter for two for myself (how often can you get gf fried seafood). Hadn't eaten all day in preparation but still had to take half of it home, so good but so stuffed. Ate on the first floor deck overlooking the harbor. Will DEFINITELY by back again soon.

Michael’s has become safer and safer over the years. We ate there last Friday and had Fish n Chips and other fried seafood, French fries and coleslaw. All the fried food is gluten free as well as most of the other items and clearly marked on the menu. Another delicious and safe meal enjoyed.

Michael’s can make almost everything gluten free including fried food. I got the onion rings, buffalo tenders and French onion soup. Everything was delicious. Only down fall was that the fried food tasted like fried seafood - definitely because of it all being fried together.

Almost every single item on the menu is gluten free! Everything that is fried is good to go. Any sandwiches you just need to specify so they use GF bread. We got the chowder, lobster roll, fried pickles and clam bellies - no reaction and delicious. Rolls and crackers that they give with the meal aren’t gluten free.

Great food. Everything fried is gluten free. Went with family of 4. We all ordered gluten free. Got the fisherman’s catch (all fried: fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, fries, and onion rings), lobster roll, 1.25lb lobster dinner, and kids fish and chips (very good size!). Also got fried calamari and a crab cake for app. All was very good and no one reacted! The waitress was very good. With 2 sodas the bill came to $134.

** the lobster roll did come out with a gluten roll at first. But it was immediately remedied.

First off..best fried food ever! And even better, it's corn meal with a few spices so it's naturally GF in a GF fryer. TONs of options here. Can get anything you want fried and ALL the sides are safe to eat. To truly experience this opportunity I'd suggest you get the calamari and the "fisherman's catch". You won't be disappointed but you will likely stuff yourself until you're uncomfortable. This has just about everything..fried haddock, fried scallops, fried shrimp, fried clams, onion rings on a bed of French fries. It's huge! Ordered for 1 and shared it, still took home enough for lunch the next day. It was all cooked to perfection and was so fresh. Also got the broccoli but barely touched it because I couldn't stop eating the platter.

So many GF options. Service was great! Our server, Shannon who was celiac herself, was super knowledgeable! Food was delicious! The best meal my celiac partner has had since she was diagnosed! Me too! The waitresses were an excellent tag team! Gave us enough time and space but we never sat and waited for anything! Top notch timing with our order! Could have sat there for hours but we were cognitive of the turn around time for the waitresses! Waitress recommended chicken fingers, the best we ever had! Designated fryer for gluten free fried food! I had fish and onion rings and my partner had fried clams and French fries! Simply awesome! Highly recommend, we will be back!

Order take out. ordere kids cheeseburger with GF bun. mentioned had to be GF bun 3 times. Got home all burgers looked alike. called to check to make sure GF bun was in order. They put regular bun on burger.

Everything they fry is gluten free, fried pickles, onion rings, calamari! So yummy! I appreciate the step to have a gluten free dedicated fryer. They do have regular rolls and gluten free rolls for lobster rolls and sandwiches, so not everything is gluten free.

Found this place in here and so glad I did! Went on a sat afternoon and only waited for about 10 minutes for a great outdoor table. Our server was very knowledgeable about gf as his son is celiac. I am just gluten sensitive but pretty sensitive. Menu was well marked. All fried seafood is GF!! We got the clam chowder, and is was amazing! My husband and I split the fried fisherman's platter for 1 and there was plenty. Beautiful view of the harbor and great service!!

Great experience at Michael’s Harborside. Knowledgeable about celiac. Menu items clearly marked as GF and dedicated fryer. When the server brought a bread basket for the table, she brought a separate GF roll for my celiac daughter which I never before experienced. It was so nice! Delicious fried seafood and cocktails.

My daughter is celiac and had an awesome and safe meal here. No problems at all. Waitress was fantastic making note and relaying to chef her food restriction. She loved her chicken tenders and fries. I had a bad experience today. Menu had GF next to the Sirloin Tips - I should have asked what the marinade contained, I realized after - it definitely tasted like it was soaked in soy sauce. I ordered the tips with a baked potato and asparagus. It came out with onion rings piled on top. I explained to the server that I have celiac and can not have that. She took it out back, took the onion rings off, and put a baked potato on. All in all I was very disappointed and I know it’s mostly my fault for not advocating for myself better, but others should know about their unsafe practices.
