It was pretty good, not a ton of options. We got the Shepards pie and a pork dish. The chocolate mousse was also very good. Didn’t get sick after so that’s a plus! Waiter was accommodating and they marked gluten free on order.

Almost the whole menu was GF or GFO, including some dessert options. I had the Orange Chicken with Lavender Rice + Veggies. It was fresh, and delicious!

The food here was great! So many GF options!! Our server was an older woman who kept saying “I’m sure it’s fine” whenever i asked her to inform the staff i have celiac. I had to ask several times and she seemed annoyed but otherwise the food was great!

Excellent food, but service and food was slow. They said they don't fry anything with gluten.

I had the Filet Mignon and my husband had the campfire trout. They were both good but keep in mind the portions here are not typical American portions and expensive. A fun Anniversary meal none the less. We did make a reservation for 8 on a Saturday and when we arrived it was clear they hadn't saved us a table. We were sat in the bar where the bartender knew nothing about their drink options and was too busy to really take care of us as a waiter would have. I would give it another go and skip the crumble for dessert but get the bacon wrapped dates again.

Awesome place. A tiny bit pricy but it’s Midway. They have a gluten free guarantee! So nice to be somewhere you know you can trust. I’ll be back

We ate here a couple days ago and this is the place! GF menu with tons of options and absolutely delicious. We ate out on the patio under soft lights and fall colors. Fantastic evening. We spoke to John, one of the co-owners, who is a super cool guy. A little pricey but totally worth it from my point of view. A couple others in my party (eaters of gluten) said it was the best meal they’ve had and they had ordered GF!

The chef is very accommodating of all allergies and needs! Most of the menu options are already gluten free and a lot of the non-gluten free can have great substitutes to make it safe for allergies! Highly recommend Midway Mercantile! Definitely one of my favorite places to go.

Most of their menu is gluten free! I found out from the owner that they never fry anything with Gluten, so you’re safe getting anything fried. They’ve recently created a specific gluten-free menu and they take safety very seriously!

Much of the menu is gluten free and I ordered a gluten free dish with rice and specified I am celiac and asked in addition to have our server let the kitchen know. My dish had sauce on the rice and after eating a few bites I noticed it looked like a mix of white and brown rice. Then I realized it was white rice with farro. The line cook used a different rice for my dish (still don’t understand why). Server really didn’t understand what an issue it was. The owner/chef came out and talked to us and they were really nice but ultimately this is not a safe place to eat if you’re celiac.
No
They don’t have a gf menu and their fryer is not a dedicated one. There were a few salads or lettuce wraps. We didn’t stay.
Genuinely, this is the best restaurant food I have ever had. Everything on the menu but the pasta and pizza is gluten free. Including fish and chips! Everything is made with such incredible flavor. You could pick apart the meal and each thing has its own bold flavor...but somehow all together, it tastes even better. It's expensive, and you need to make a reservation ahead of time but if you can swing it one night (or for lunch), do it.
This place requires reservations certain nights of the week, but sometimes they may have space in the bar if you don’t have reservations. We informed the host that I had a gluten sensitivity and shortly after he sat us the chef personally came to our table and discussed with us the gluten free menu options. I had their trout entree which was served with potatoes and kale, it was delightful. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my dietary needs.
