Mikasa Sushi & Ramen

Ate here for the first time last night and had no issues! They don’t have a ton of GF options but what they do have is delicious. The person at the counter wasn’t familiar with cross contamination but the chef was. The chef was also well versed in all things gluten. I will definitely be back!

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

They want to be GF friendly and it’s great that they have items marked in on the menu as either GF, or able to make it GF.

The problem is that the chef does not follow the menu. The last 3 times I went, my food arrived and it was covered in sauce that is not gf. (I only ever order items marked as GF.)

I was glutened by the GF ramen the last time.

It was exciting to have a gf friendly sushi spot close to home, but I don’t see myself ever going back there.

I tried again over the summer 2020 and ordered online for pickup. Everything came out perfectly.

I went back in Sept 2020 and ordered for takeout. Eel sauce on the sushi again. I do not understand why they keep putting eel sauce on sushi labeled as gf, and are simple/traditional sushi rolls that traditionally do not have any sauce on them.

Their ramen can be made GF. Everything that is gluten free or can be made gluten free is clearly marked. The sushi was excellent!
