DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE CELIAC. Period end of story! There is so much cross contamination and they do not seem to care to cater to celiacs. Super frustrating!!
— Not at all
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much/None
let me just start by saying I’m Not celiac! Just intolerant. So when I say this places sandwiches are a god send I tell no lie. SO STINKIN GOOD!
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Most/All
— Excellent
I went the other day and ordered a sandwich. The fact that they offer GF bread doesn’t mean they take precautions. There’s cros-contamination 100%. They use the same toasters for all sandwiches, they only wipe down some type of covers but who know what it is on the rag they use.

Delicious but not celiac friendly

I love everything about this place.
It's great they offer GF bread, but there's no real effort to clean the surface. If you have celiac, you need to ask them to wipe off the surfaces. Otherwise, food and salad are great, and this is a local institution.

Incredible sandwiches with incredible gluten free bread. Highly recommend!
My family enjoyed their food but I couldn't eat here because they were clear the only GF precaution they take is laying down a pice of deli paper. They don't have a dedicated work space, separate knives etc so the GF bread didn't really mean much. Salads, yogurt, fruit were available but I wondered where/how they were prepared too.

After seeing the great reviews of The Milburn Deli on this website I decided to try it out for myself. I went it and asked someone at the counter about their gluten free products and her answer was, "we have gluten free bread but we use all the same products so I wouldn't eat it if you were very allergic." Just by chance I was getting a sandwich for someone else and I asked the gentleman making it about their gluten free bread and he said, "well we have the gluten free bread but we use the same cutting boards, knives and grills, so if you are allergic I wouldn't eat it" so I asked if they clean the products before making something gluten free and he said, "well I guess I could." At that point I walked out. I understand not all restaurants that have gluten free products are gluten free facilities but they were so rude and apparently did not care.

After a long night of drinking I stumbled across this place, got a bacon egg and cheese on gluten free bread!! So excited to be able to just "grab a sandwich". Very tasty
Best gluten free sandwich I've had yet!!

I had my first sloppy joe since I became gluten free and it is still just as good with gluten free bread

The Milburn Deli uses Udis GF bread for their sandwiches. They are very aware of GF diets and make me a fantastic sloppy joe!
