Review of Mini Mission @ Giant Riverwalk

Everything on the menu WAS Gluten Free. Even the quesadillas and churros. It also happened to have some of the best homemade tacos in the entire city. Their shrimp tacos were incredible and their steak quesadilla was excellent. Safely once upon a time I ate carnita tacos here with no hesitation. New establishment inside of the Giant supermarket. WAS once worth it every single time!

Updated late June 2022 to make my first review past tense. I hope the owners see this update. Especially the owner who is a celiac himself.

Not only have they cross contaminated all the food, but their new employees have no quality control, no attention to detail or allergies, and it’s clear everyone new is untrained. Everything is a hit or miss now, food, customer service, and prices jumped significantly for what is now subpar food. This was ONCE the best tacos and fast Mexican food in the city. I would go almost daily and bring outsiders to this once hidden gem.

Try at your own risk, if the guy is on the grill skip it, don’t even bother, he is unable to keep up and food hasn’t tasted the same since he was hired. The staff is aware and they receive complaints about the chef daily. I stopped going and so have many of my celiac and non celiac friends a like. What a shame, this place was once one of a kind in Philly.
