I had eaten here before and was fine. Staff called out that there was an allergy. But I was distracted this time, and never heard them call out. I am now suffering. This is probably an eat at your own risk place for a celiac which is sad. I like the food, just not the pain.

Absolutely delicious ribs and fries. The staff clearly called out gluten free and food prep changes gloves, etc. They have a dedicated fryer and were knowledgeable about precautions.

Enjoyed brisket, fries, and cole slaw without incident. Told them I had celiac and they assured me that they had a dedicated fryer. They told me which (packaged sauces) were gluten free and warned my husband when he tried to order one that was not safe for me. I saw them call out that my order was gluten free and the servers changed gloves and kept mine separate. They told me that they have a food allergy protocol and train on using it.

Good food…was gluten bombed..sick for two weeks. Foods marked gluten free were not. Restaurant said it was my fault for ordering the stated gluten free items without telling them I had an allergy. Eat here, take your chances…I lost.

I have eaten here many times without incident. However, there was one time the order-taker did not know what to enter on the computer and say to the others so I learned to make sure that person made a specific note about it, and yell “fry down” for the fries.

The food was delicious! We had a special- smoked prime rib. The cashier immediately said that she didn’t think the au jus was gf. We also got brisket- we didn’t even try sauces, it was so good plain. Gluten free fryer too.

Gluten free menu. I had the pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, and green beans. I liked that the lady taking my order explained how careful they are regarding cross contamination...they use separate cutting boards when ordering gluten free.

Gluten free menu had good selection of entrées, and most of their sauces. Ribs and pulled pork are great.

They always go out of their way to make sure I have a safe meal. One of my favorite places to eat in Roanoke.

I had high hopes when I tried Mission BBQ. It seemed as though the employees were really trying to make me a safe meal. Unfortunately the food must not have been completely gluten free. I've been sick for the last two days from it. 😢

Good but not great pulled pork. Good price. Staff knowledgeable about GF and there is a GF menu.

Best BBQ in town! I am simple and always get pulled pork or chicken with a side salad. It's delicious and celiac safe. Ask which BBQ sauces are GF. All but 1 of them is GF.

We have multiple allergies we're dealing with and the cashier and manager could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The pulled pork was terrific and the brisket was to. die. for. We'll be going back!!

We should have looked at their website before going. The two employees behind the counter knew very little about what any of the food contained. I was offered a sample of the potato salad after being told it was gf. I ate it and ordered it as a side to my meal. When we asked if they had a gluten free menu we were told no. After sitting down we looked up their website and saw that they do have a gf menu and the potato salad is NOT on it. Make sure to do your research before ordering!

Just left this restaurant and all i can say, this is the first place where i felt that my daughter got 100% GF food! We are from Europe and on a few weeks trip in US (from Boston to Tampa. ) and with celiac it's always hard to have a quick meal. But this the place was very cool, the staff was nice, the chief was very helpful and the food was amazin!! They really care about their customers!! Thank you so much!!

Very kind and knowledgable staff. They change their gloves and use a fresh cutting board when preparing gluten free foods. Not to mention, the food is delicious. Many gluten free options and a separate gf menu.

Very impressed and happy with their gf menu choices and understanding of gf. French fries are the only thing fried in the fryer and are gf. 5 of the 6 sauces on the table are gf - all except the Texas twang. Delicious brisket and pulled pork - I will not hesitate to come back. Family friendly quick service style.

Excellent BBQ. Very understanding mgmt even brought out Worcestershire sauce bottle to show us the ingredients. Highly recommend! Will be returning.

I was a little hesitant to try Mission BBQ at first but finally was convinced and it was amazing. You can watch the chefs prepare your food while waiting at the counter and they are conscientious of cross contamination. Their meats are so tender and they have many different gluten free options including pulled pork, chicken, and ribs. Their French fries are delicious and come on your plate in an abundance. I would also highly recommend the beans and bacon as a side.

Super knowledgeable staff and well-versed in celiac, staff has family member with celiac diagnosis. Has a dedicated GF fryer for fries. Very lovely experience and people here. Tastes great :)

This is my second visit to Mission in 6 months. I don't recall what I ordered in December bit it didn't bother me. This trip I ordered the smoked hamburger without a bun (no gf option) with mashed potatoes. This will be a regular visit when I'm in DE.
