Upscale, hip Chinese. When I started to ask about gf options, the server asked right away if I was celiac versus allergic/etc, and understood about CC. The server knew right away what was safe on the menu, including sauces/marinades. There were a few good options and I definitely felt safe there. The restaurant is lovely, quite fancy and VERY expensive but worth it to go for a special occasion or just once in a while. Just know that it is not your usual Chinese fare. There is also a really cool bar upstairs, called Moon Gate. It is in the heart of Chinatown and a fun adventure just to go.
