Have been eating here for a couple years and was always fine. Was trepidatious about eating here after change of management and menu. However, have eaten here twice since the switch and been safe. Cashiers seem to understand “celiac” and make notations on the check as “GLUTEN ALLERGY” and “CHANGE GLOVES” and will go back to speak to staff to warn them. So far so good.
Mixto is NO LONGER safe for Celiacs!!!! The fabulous guys that worked there before are gone and there is a new staff. The assistant manager was nice and tried to help but told me that I could have a wheat tortilla since I can’t have gluten. He tried to help and accommodate but he had ZERO knowledge on Celiac Disease and obviously didn’t even know what gluten is. The red headed cashier was rude and rolled her eyes and gave me an attitude when I asked if I could speak to someone more knowledgeable. I gave this place a rave review years ago and it was a great place. I hadn’t been there in awhile and I went back yesterday and so I’m updating my review. Fellow Celiacs know how devastating one gluten contamination can be!!!! Thank you

Very Spicy!!! The tacos are cross contaminated but the bowls are safe.
This place is delicious! I love Mexican food and as a Celiac that's usually great because most Mexican food is gluten-free (besides flour tortillas). But I'm also intolerant to corn, so that makes things a little more difficult. Finding a place that does more, and is a little authentic than Chipotle is always a plus!
I recommend the chicken bowl. And their hot salsa is so delicious and actually spicy! Yum!
