I ate the house salad dry, their dressing has gluten in it. Soup had gluten in it. I had habachi chicken (just butter) and veggies and steamed rice. Chef made me feel terrible for having to make my food before everyone else's. Literally asked me 5 times was I sure I had a gluten allergy because I would make everyone else wait. In actuality, he made mine at the same time as their shrimp appetizer so no one waited for anything. Have been here twice with family on vaca and while hibachi is always a fun experience, I don't like being shamed for having celiac.

I was invited here and I was fully prepared to just eat a salad and steamed rice. As we were seated I asked our waitress if they had any GF options. She was incredibly knowledgeable and said that the soup definitely is not gluten free, and the ginger salad dressing has gluten. She said that they do have GF soy sauce and can use that on any hibachi that I ordered. There was no alternative to the soup so I missed out on that. Salad was fine, I got ranch dressing. I ordered vegetable hibachi. The chef knew that I was GF and he prepared my foods on the far left side of the grill. I had the 2 shrimp, the zucchini and onions, my hibachi veggies, and rice. I skipped the sherbet. Although my food was prepared away from the other food, he used the same cooking utensils. He would wipe it off, and I’m sure if I had asked he would have used another set. But I was curious how this would turn out, so I let it go. I have been GF due to celiac for about 10 years. Happy to report that I had no bad reactions to my meal. I didn’t rate them higher simply because other people May not handle the small cross contamination as well as I was able to. The food was delicious and of course the portions were huge. I would definitely eat here again.

I was told on the phone that they could accommodate a gluten free diet. When I got there they said they would cook my food on the same grill as everyone else’s food, just on the corner. I ended up having to watching my family eat because I did not trust the manager to know how to handle a gluten free diet.
