Review of MJ'S café

5162 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA 70806

Review

MJ’s is a cafe on Government street in Baton Rouge. It’s not far from BRCC and a perfect place to go for lunch if you’re heading to Trader Joe’s or Sprouts.

They serve lunch foods like soups and salads. They also have some gluten containing dishes. Almost everything on the menu is vegan with a couple of vegetarian options that contain cheese. You can get cappuccinos made with soy or oat milk.

It’s bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

Parking is in the rear.

I went to MJ’s for the first time a few months ago and honestly, I teared up over all the gluten free options.

I’ve been back several times since.

My favorites are the soups and the cupcakes.

Staff is usually small and very approachable. Everyone I’ve encountered has either been very knowledgeable or has double checked.
