I was excited to try a new pizza place with gluten free options. It clearly states on the menu that they have a gluten free crust. The size is about the same size as other gluten free crusts, but the crust itself was amazing. Not too hard, not too spongey. Here is where it gets tricky, why I DON’T recommend to celiac’s... I avoid gluten because of hashimotos disease/gluten sensitivity. When I asked for gluten free, the (very nice) employee washed her hands and put new gloves on, said she would make my pizza and no one else should touch it. Two other employees (a new and experienced one) were behind her. The new girl asked what was going on and the older employee began to explain. She then stated “I could make everyone on the assembly line change gloves, but why waste gloves. Especially since (employees name) is making the pizza.” She said that as if she were annoyed. But here is the the thing... I’m glad the employee making my pizza washed her hands and put new gloves on... but it really doesn’t matter for celiac’s because of cross contamination. They hardly used the spoons and scoops to get toppings out of the bins. They used their hands! So they’re constantly touching crust all day and then dipping their hands into the toppings. Not celiac friendly.
