Such good bagels! My non GF friends were shocked at how good they are. Being originally from NJ myself I consider myself a bagel snob and since becoming GF I have been on the HUNT for good gf bagels and I have found them!

The first time I went here, I literally cried when I was ordering because I was overwhelmed at the amount of options I had to choose from and how delicious they all looked. That was a couple months ago. My husband and I have been back 3 times since 🤣

This place is amazing! The pastries are hit or miss but the bagels are sooo good - you can’t even tell they’re gluten free! Came here soon after being diagnosed with celiac and it made me so happy :)

Really good selection of breads, bagels, donuts, pastries, etc. The donuts here are the closest you’ll get to those good old fashioned yeast donuts that are soft and melt in your mouth. These aren’t your classic gf donuts which are basically just cake in the shape of a donut. Super good! 10/10

(Don’t get the pancakes or cinnamon sticks they’re terrible)

Bagels are great. Donuts are not good. Bought a $5.00+ donut that was burnt and tasted horrible. Nothing in the interior of the store is labeled gluten free and there is no marketing on the exterior store saying that the food is gluten free- all a bit concerning.

This is like walking into heaven for celiacs. Wow, everything is gluten free and it tastes incredible. It is worth the drive and less than 2 mi from the 101. So worth the trip! But there is a line! Went back again because I kept daydreaming about the bagels. Ordered some zucchini bread, coffee cake and muffins as well. All are fabulous but the bagels are the best!

With Breadblok gone, this is the only game in town. I wish they had more locations, but I’m fine with the 12 minute drive in the valley. We go every Sunday, and my go to is the BEC on a sesame — but anything I’ve had on the menu is good. Completely 110% gluten free. There is usually a line after 10am, so I recommend ordering ahead and grabbing it even if you want to eat there. I think it was a good marketing play by them to not advertise it as completely GF, because you’ll have those non-celiac people who get it in their brain that it tastes different because it’s GF. Spoiler: it doesn’t.

Amazing food. The baked goods are unmatched but their savory stuff has become a staple! You can’t go wrong no matter what you order. The breakfast burrito and latke tots are personal faves!

I cannot say enough how outstanding this dedicated gluten-free bread and bagel restaurant is. I had the sweet Billy on an everything bagel and I think my eyes rolled back in my head for just a minute. Definitely put this one on your bucket list.

The bagels are AMAZING!!! I have to eat gluten free and have never found a gluten free bagel that tasted the way I remembered bagels tasting until Modern Bread and Bakery. They are wonderful and well worth the drive to get them fresh😊

The food was so great! The bagels tasted like regular bagels. Egg sandwiches were so good and kids loved the black and white cookies. Nice to eat out and not worry about cross contamination.

My partner and I love going here with our families for breakfast. It’s so much fun to be able to share food again with people and not have to worry! Their pastries are amazing and their menu keeps getting better. You won’t regret going here ever.

Hands down the best gluten free bagel I’ve ever had. We went crazy at this place. We purchased lunch for our group of four then dessert - pop tarts, hostess cupcakes - then bagels, bread and treats to go. The food is lights out fantastic.

Went here on a Thursday for lunch at 1230. No wait or line. Fast service and great staff. I had the coconut french toast sticks. Truly amazing consistency and taste. Crunchy outside with the center melting in your mouth. The coffee/chocolate dip is very good as well. Left with many treats to take home and enjoy later.

Free parking at the mall for the first 90 minutes.

I still remember what bagels with gluten taste like, and this is really just bread in the shape of a bagel. Having said that it’s good for gluten free bread and the everything bagel tastes like an everything bagel by nature of the seasoning.

Their other baked goods are pretty good too but can be hit or miss. Lots of dairy free options too!

I was super excited to get a bagel and ended up getting a black and white cookie and donut too! The donut and cookie werent my favorite but the bagel was really good!! (Wasn't able to toast it but I imagine it's amazing toasted). They were super accomodating to other allergies as well.

So delicious - but I got extremely sick the morning after I ate one of the everything bagels and chocolate rugelach and the only food I've eaten otherwise for the last three days is certified gluten free food at home. I see from the reviews that no one else has has this problem but I definitely will not eat here again, which really sucks because the rugelach in particular was amazing 😭

Absolutely fabulous! Probably the best gluten free bakery I have ever been to (and I've been to A LOT). Everything looked so good, that I ended up getting a slice of their cinnamon roll cake, a chocolate chip cookie, an everything bagel, and a glazed donut. I would have loved all of these things even before I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease! I will be coming back here a lot.

I now have a whole TWO places I can go with complete peace of mind! (so sad only two…) Enjoyed my visit here! It’s not in the mall proper but the village. The bagels are really where they shine. Best GF bagels by far. The other pastries I tried were pretty good, though definitely not top notch like some other places, I’m thinking Posh Pop in NY or Rising Hearts formerly in LA. Great bagel sandwiches for breakfast though. Though I dont recommend the vegan sausage - I took that off my sandwich. Too mushroomy. I will say the bagels from their NY location are slightly better. Maybe it’s true what they say about there being something in the tap water. Nonetheless glad to have a location in LA and hope it is a permanent fixture!

Dreams do come true. AFFORDABLE AND SO GOOD. Breadblock is not nearly as good and it’s double the price. Tots are amazing, loved the bread and bagels. Donut was my favorite. Can’t wait to try more.

Love the bagels and pastries. Cinnamon roll bread and linzer cookies are out of this world. Some days they’ve sold burnt bagels which is disappointing especially when bringing friends for the first time. They also need to set up a water station… this is LA! I hope they are just ironing out some kinks because they are new. They seem to take celiac safety very seriously and I appreciate that! Fair prices, excellent quality and selection! Will be back!

Update: Being a celiac, I tried this place again, since it would be great to have a go-to place. Both bagels were so burned we couldn't even bite into them. Maybe it's their uniques thing. But it's not for me.

I wanted so much to love this place. Got paper in my egg and cheese bagel and the bagel was burned. The first impression wasn't great. They remade it and it was pretty good. I''ll likely revisit.

Our kids have Celiac and they make a proper New York bagel that tastes exactly like the real thing. They also have amazing bread, donuts and pastries like chocolate Babka. You can take non-Celiac people with you and they won’t know the difference. They don’t even have any signage that says they are gluten free but the entire place is. We have eaten here at least 10 times and no problems at all. I have no idea how they do it but I am so glad they open a Los Angeles location.
