Highly recommend not chancing it here! Went for a birthday. Asked the server about 100% gluten free options. She was very kind but not knowledgeable on the subject. I explained to her the importance of cross contamination and explained gluten free pasta would not be okay if it’s cooked in the same water as the other pasta (an issue I’ve experienced at other Italian restaurants). She confirmed it normally is (yikes) but that they could accommodate this for me due to an allergy in a separate clean pot with fresh water and marked my allergies in my order (dairy as well). She told me the bolognese sauce was GF and DF. Once everyone’s food came, I sat waiting for mine. She eventually came over and apologized but told me the bolognese sauce had dairy after all and that she was just informed. I told her not to worry about it then. I was then brought out a large dish of plain GF penne in the smallest amount of plain tomato sauce. It wasn’t very good. When our bill
Came they charged us for Gnocchi Bolognese… when we told her that we only got plain gf pasta with plain sauce they took $3 off our bill. IMO it should have been removed all together, but at least reduced further than that. We just paid it. Worst of all, I left and immediately had one of my most painful reactions to date. My stomach hasn’t bloated this bad in years. Very nice service from a kind server, just not knowledgeable, very flustered environment and I don’t believe my requests were taken seriously in the kitchen. Overall super disappointed especially given they advertise “gluten free” items on the menu. I need to stick to gluten free kitchens only it seems :(!
— Not very
— Gluten-free items are marked on the main menu
— Not Much
Menu has items marked gluten free that clearly have gluten ingredients in them. After long conversation I was able to clarify things that were actually safe but be very wary of items marked gf on their menu.
