Mystic Cafe

I was very careful about letting my server know about my allergies, and she made sure that I knew she noted them on our order. However, part way through my meal I realized there was a tomato in my item. This is not the first time this has happened at this restaurant. Just a reminder that you AND the server can take precautions, but you should always double check your food before eating. Good thing I carry Benadryl with me.

A nice atmosphere, courteous and knowledgeable staff. The waitress immediately understood the importance of careful preparation with celiac and double checked recipes, and the kitchen to make sure about various items on the menu. The menu is flexible as far as gluten-free items. They will make necessary accommodations for most of the menu items.

They are super good with cross-contamination. They clean the grill, change gloves, and use different utensils if you say you have a celiac allergy. I eat here all of the time and don’t get sick.

I have eaten here twice and will go back over and over. Both times the servers took the time to ask what kind of gluten sensitivity (celiac, hard core) and to make suggestions. They were very pleasant about it and verified with the kitchen as well. There are gluten free options listed on the menu too.
