Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. Asked the staff when we arrived and they said they had gluten free options at the buffet. I asked for the waiter to show me the options before we committed to eating there. He did, and there were three things that I could eat in addition to the rice. It turned out that I mis-remembered what the three items were and had placed some food on my plate that contained gluten. Fortunately, I saw the server before I sat and showed him my plate and he told me that the chicken tikka contained gluten. I enjoyed the food I ate, but was disappointed with the limited number of buffet items I could eat. I love Indian food and I would recommend this restaurant but advise people who have celiacs to be very cautious and ask lots of questions before you eat.
Wonderful! The staff was informed and the food was hardy.
Delicious food! The lunch buffet is the best deal. They said everything was gluten free on the buffet except for one of the desserts (gulab jamun). So that should cut down on cross contamination by customers on the buffet table. They did have a broccoli that was fried in chickpea flour and I didn't bother to ask if it was in the same oil as the gulab jamun, just didn't have my kid eat it. On their menu they specifically say they can make gluten free foods so they should be knowledgeable. I'm just excited that this Indian food is delicious and in Durham so I don't have to travel down to Morrisville!
