Yummy stuff! I saw the chefs put burritos on the same surface as some pork….luckily I ordered the chicken and they mentioned that that was cooked in a different pan. No reactions though and I’m usually very sensitive! I had the bowl.

We loved it! A large size is plenty for two to share. We got the Loaded Nachos. I can't eat dairy, either, and they had dairy free melted cheese that even my cheese loving husband could enjoy. They put the cotija and crema on the side for him. Nachos were topped with a generous serving of homemade guacamole, and the carne asada was tender. It is a casual place and prices are fair. We thoroughly enjoyed it ... then walked across the street to Revival Ice Cream for dessert.

Hands down the best meal I've had while traveling in a long time! My 15yo daughter and I are DF as well and we were so excited that the vegan cheese was so yummy and didn't overpower the meal. Anytime we come to visit Monterey this will be our definite go to. The portion sizes are very large and we ordered the Hella size and between the two of us we couldn't finish it. So filling and delicious! The beans were so good, and according to my daughter the best she's had besides my homemade beans. THe Pico de Gallo is spicy so next time will get it on the side so it's not too hot for my daughter. The best part is the GF ice cream shop is across the street!

Delicious nachos! My older daughter and I had the loaded nachos. I had the pollo with jalapeño cheddar cheese sauce and she had the carne asada with chipotle jack cheese sauce. Both were excellent. My younger daughter is more picky so she had just pollo and jalapeño cheese sauce. I was worried that the cheese sauces would be too spicy for her but they weren’t very spicy at all. They were nice enough to let us try the sauces before we ordered. If you don’t like spicy, you may not want the pico de gallo as it had a bit of kick to it. They are big portions. We had the regular size and couldn’t finish it. My daughters and I all have celiac and we didn’t have any reactions. My husband who is not gluten free had the burrito and mac n cheese. He said both were really good. We will definitely be back next time we are in Monterey.

A large size nacho order made for a filling lunch for me. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. But next time, I'll probably get the regular size so that I leave room for some gluten-free ice cream from the shop across the street. I had the al pastor, which was excellent.

Anything going into the fryer is gluten-free. All items that are gluten-free are clearly marked. The staff was great at answering questions & making sure there was no cross-contamination. The food was good.

The person at the counter understood Celiac enough to explain that the fryers were not safe, but the chips were fine because they were made in a dedicated facility. You will be having nachos if you go here, nothing else is recommended. They keep the other stuff separate. We enjoyed our nachos and I've not had a reaction. I'd be happy to go back there.

Really fun restaurant concept! Nachos were tasty, they happily answered my many questions, and I felt like I wasn’t missing out on anything. It’s not 100% gluten free, but it sounds like the menu items with gluten are handled separately.

Also great for nut allergies, they no longer offer nut based cheese sauces so no nuts anywhere on the menu!

OH MY DELICIOUS!!!!!! We got the extra large “the phife” Nachos with guac to share and I wanted to scrape every bit out of the bowl. It WAS THAT AMAZING!!! I’m a bit of a wimp so we put the jalepenos and habenero relish on the side for my husband. Seriously though these nachos were EPIC!!! The two staff members were so helpful and friendly! They have some gluten on sight but keep everything very separate and are VERY in the know with cross contamination and keeping celiacs safe! Also the Kyla sunset trio kombucha was really tasty! And we added some Spanish rice to the side! All so good! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving some top “notch-o” 😄 nachos!!! (As noted on menu, all items GF besides Mac n cheese and burritos)

I am a celiac and tested the food here with my Nima Sensor gluten tester and the chicken nachos (with Queso Fresca, lime crema, guac, and chipotle cheese) were gluten free! It was so delicious! The manager told me the carne asada was not safe for celiacs because it has a tiny bit of soy sauce in it, so I stuck with the chicken. Chips are in a dedicated GF fryer. The staff was very knowledgeable about allergies! I will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful team.

The person working was incredibly nice and understanding and the nachos were delicious. Definitely not even close to too spicy and in a quite large portion 😊 if I'm ever back in this area again, they will certainly have my business once more!

Our GF family went here on our trip and thought the nachos were delicious, be warned the cheese is spicy! My kids struggled through their nachos. Chips were crunchy and not overly greasy and neither myself of the kids got sick. Easy walk up ordering and a small sitting area.

DELICIOUS nacho place!!! They had vegan dairy cheese options!!!! Be warned, most of the items have jalapeños in it so order accordingly. My daughter had the burrito bowl with vegan cheese and it was delicious. Huge portions and affordable. Only two things not GF on the menu, the Mac and cheese and the tortillas for burrito wrap. Did not see if chips were GF, we both had burrito bowls.

They are open “hella late” Thurs, Friday, and Saturdays! Sooo yummy and everything is gluten free! Update to 2022- they have some gluten items now, but just let them know about your celiac and they’ll be safe.

I asked the staff about their precautions and the first person was clueless about it, BUT went to get the manager who was much more knowledgeable. Down and dirty nacho joint. Think college town. Perfectly situated near a bar and CBD spot. You get the idea. It ain’t fine dining but it hits the spot.

Make your own order of chips, cheeses, meats and toppings. Mexican soda as well. Chips and all toppings are GF so go crazy.
