Oh. My. Goodness. What a delightful experience. The location is in a small strip mall between a Discount Zone, a barbershop, iPhone repair shop, and a Latino restaurant/ bar, and grill. It’s an unexpectedly simple, yet an elegant fusion of New Orleans and Middle Eastern flavors. If you enjoy rose or lavender or horchata or coffee or snoballs, then you’re in for an unexpected treat. Plus the young ladies running the place are clearly dedicated and adorably excited about their business. I think they have a concept that can really take off. One of which shared that her sister is also Celiac and everything they serve, except three items are gluten free. They cheerily offer samples of everything they offer. I ordered an Royal Rose iced coffee and my husband ordered a nectar snoball with condensed milk. I also tried a generous sample of the horchata soft serve with a smidge of rose syrup. The Royal Rose was an indulgent multi flavored drink with mortar-crushed halwa pecans and two shots of espresso. Even though I felt like the drink didn’t have enough ice in it , I didn’t mind in the end because I drank it down so quickly. The snoball was delicious and didn’t veer off the traditional path, except for the edible orchid placed upon each one. I cannot wait to return again and again to try everything on the menu. Kudos, Nectar + Ice! You made me so happy today!
