The lady at the sausage counter was severely rude to me when I asked her if any of the sausages were GF. She laughed in my face and said that’s only an American thing and that I should scram to find a different supermarket, asked me what type of Russian am I to be asking such a question (I’m not Russian,) and that nothing is safe for me there (even though I was standing in front of a sausage that had “GLUTEN FREE” on the packaging). That instance aside, there are not many gluten free items and there is no dedicated section (of course, as the lady said.) Most of the things say “may contain,” or “made in a facility.” The allergen warnings listed around the store are only for nuts and dairy. I ended up buying a pack of sausages that did not say GF but did not list any glutinous ingredients, and still got glutened terribly. As for the “may contain” foods I’ve purchased, I’ve had no issue so far.
