The cupcake I ordered was good. Savory food was a no-go. Overall cleanliness was less than subpar.

Notes

New Day Gluten Free aims to be a cornerstone in the community creating a neighborhood atmosphere where customers feel comfortable and become instant regulars. We are sensitive to the often overlooked population of people diagnosed with celiac disease as well as food allergy sufferers. We aim to cater to their needs for easy access to clearly-labeled safe-to-eat packaged foods, and a dedicated gluten-free environment for dining.

Completely gluten free but no COVID precautions!

Bad bad bad

WOW how downhill this place has gone. Used to be a great place to go knowing all of the options are safe and yummy. Now everything is tasteless. The bread is horrible (hard & dry). The only thing I like from this establishment now is the snickerdoodle cookie. Prices are stupid high for the quality of the food & service. Workers are careless, especially showing with no masks and no health precautions. If you go and try it, I hope you have a better experience than my several over the past few months. Not worth it and way too expensive.

If you are concerned about safety standards during Covid-19 this restaurant is not for you. Three employees all without masks were at counter, in lobby, or in kitchen area. I was VERY disappointed at what had been a favorite stopping point in travel

medium

Safety protocols of Covid-19 including wearing of face masks or plexiglass shield not being followed

It’s all gluten free. That’s the best praise I can give. I really want to like it, but every time I go I’m disappointed. Even for gluten free, most items are not very tasty. I’m happy they exist, but wish many items would be improved.

This place is a magical wonderland of yummies that are safe and GLUTEN FREE, ALL THE TIME.

I've enjoyed sandwiches, a red velvet cupcake and most recently blueberry muffins here!!

Nice staff & clean ladies' room too!

Very happy with the food selection and the service! Any place that is a dedicated GF facility and offers dairy free options is great in my book. We will definitely return next time we drive through St. Louis!

Used to love this restaurant, but since the new owners kicked out the original owners it has gone down hill. My family visits STL regularly and we just got some food to go and it was all horrible! Wish the original owners would open up a new place.

Quality of food and staff has gone down over the last year, it may still be Celiac safe but not worth it. Best Celiac Friendly place in the St Louis area is now "Gluten Free at Last" in Maryville, IL. even though it's more bakery than restaurant based, it is much better than New Day.

I won’t go here anymore since the new owners unethically kicked the original owners out via financial power and stole the recipes. I don’t care how celiac safe it is, I wouldn’t feel good eating there anymore.

I use to enjoy making my once every couple months trips when this place use to be at its old location. I still enjoy eating here...but some of the quality in the food & service has changed. Stopped by today for lunch and I was served a sandwich (which costs $11) on stale bread. They did fix it. But I've worked in food service, that never should have left the kitchen.

New Day is the best example of a GF and allergy sensitive bakery and restaurant. Dedicated location. Fine for celiacs. And sometimes we have to suffer mediocre tasting food as a result of our condition. Thankfully not at New Day! Fresh and tasty!

Amazing gf. Pricey but delicious. This is one of the best dedicated gf places I have eaten at. Turkey club sandwich made with soft bread was delicious. Came with homemade chips ..also tasty! Butter cookies are so soft...yum! Cinnamon roll with frosting was $5. It was a bit hard. Haven’t tried to heat it up. Wished I lived close by.

Some items were definitely overpriced but we left with some great cookies, sugar, chocolate, and butter (7 total) for less than 10 bucks. I’m not a native so did not know the joy of a gooey butter cookie until we sampled one here. Now I’m trying to figure out how to make them at home.

I had the New Day sub. It was amazing. It is a basic sub sandwich but the bread is crispy on the outside soft on the inside. I got the potato salad for the side. Very flavorful. They also had these cute blues desserts!

Stop what you are doing and go to this place right now. I’ve been all over the country and this is the best GF cafe/bakery I’ve ever been to. Found it while on a business trip to St Louis, will be back. 100% safe and GF. They don’t even allow outside food! Love it.

Everything is gf! Tons of good baked goods as well. I was just visiting st. Louis so I was happy to get to participate in the "gooey butter"ness of the city. Also not expensive at all - so used to spending $5 for a gf cookie. 99 cents here!

Amazing. Totally gluten free. I’m Newly celiac and their Biscuits and Gravy are better than the ones I used to have. Chocolate cookies taste like brownies and stay moist all day. Pumpkin bread is tasty. Zucchini bread is a little dry but still tasty. So good.
