Let me start with the good… the dish I had was very flavorful. As for the rest, I told the waiter I was ordering GF, and he said I could get any of the pasta dishes with the GF “pasta of the night” which was rigatoni. So, right off, what he said was incorrect, because they had ravioli on the menu. I ordered the seafood pasta, which was $29 by itself, and then I was offered bread to start, but, oh wait, they don’t have GF bread. So, I’m paying as much as Gluten eaters, but immediately getting less, and was offered nothing to compensate, like a small salad, which would have been nice with the entree, especially at that price. When my bowl came, the first thing was that the GF pasta was undercooked. Not even al dente. I wasn’t offered parmesan cheese, I had to ask for it, and when it came, it was a small ramekin of what liked like Kraft cheese, from the green tube at the market. I would also say, when I’m paying $29 for one dish, I’d like the water to be something like, pellegrino, with a lemon, not just regular water you’d get at chipotle.

Amazing restaurant atmosphere with great GF options. The marinara sauce were so good. For someone that doesn’t eat gluten or dairy this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time.

Everything is good at Nicola's because he not only understands Celiac & other gluten-intolerances but he substitutes using high quality GF products and makes (almost all!) items on Menu GF.

Nicola's was my first experience eating out gluten free and it was amazing. All of their sauces are gluten free. They made me Chicken Parmesan with grilled instead of their usual breaded chicken. They served it with gluten free pasta for me. It was the best Italian food I have ever had, gluten free or not. The waiter consulted with the chef for me and they went out of their way to make my experience amazing. This place is a little pricier than I usually eat at but my husband and I shared a meal and had plenty to eat. 2 months later I can say it is still the best I have found so far.
