I’ll start by saying that I cannot recommend the safety of the food here for Celiacs. I am gluten-sensitive. We were one of the first to arrive at the restaurant so there was no back up in the kitchen. We placed a to-go order as we have many times in the past. After checking out items in the car to make sure we received everything, I looked at the pancakes and noticed they were extremely fluffy and looked just like my husband’s. To me it was a warning not to eat them. He tasted them and could not tell the difference in texture or taste. He took them back in and took note of the conversation between the wait staff and the cooks and there appeared to be confusion about what was prepared. We have eaten here multiple times and they do have some of the best gluten-free pancakes I’ve had at a restaurant. Sometimes they have marked the carry out box with which are gluten-free. This mistake would have been terrible for a Celiac customer. The food at Nina’s is really good but if you go here, move forward very cautiously and ask enough questions to ensure they are doing what they should for safety.

My daughter is gluten intolerant and cannot have cross contamination. Waitress was very patient and helpful with my questions. There were a lot of brunch items to choose from and you can pull up their menu online before arriving. She ate gluten free pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries and they were fluffy and delicious. Our meals were great, too!
