Staff is unusually hostile to gluten free patrons despite having many items on the menu that are naturally gluten free.
The hostess, one of the waitresses and the manager all noted that they might “sneak” gluten into items like salad, grilled meats, plantains and potatoes that would otherwise appear to be gluten free. The waitress then refused to let my party sit in her section after I inquired about it — quite rudely, if I am being honest.
After I sat in a section where food allergies were allowable, I suppose, I ordered an appetizer of tostones with guacamole and shrimp and an entree of grilled skirt steak over salad, all of which was good and did not appear to contain gluten. I am quite sensitive to gluten and did not get sick.
GF patrons would likely have many options at Noches de Colombia but would have to take their lives into their hands a bit as it appears to be company policy to be openly hostile and discriminatory towards them.
