I was so excited to have found a Chinese restaurant with so many gf options. Then was completely thrilled with how delicious everything was! We had egg fries rice, jalapeno beef, honey walnut shrimp, and kung pao chicken…all gluten free. It’s been a few hours and I still feel great. Not bloated at all. Will definitely be returning…often!!! Highly recommend.

GOOD!! Don’t write this place off til you read this
I’m a super sensitive celiac and I’ve ordered this food more times than anyone in here ; we drive all the way from Anaheim hills area to Long Beach just to get it.
There’s a reason it’s busy - this is the only authentic halal Chinese food place in america - and more of the items here are gluten free than are listed online, including the Garlic Jalapeño chicken
When you place your order, you need to put into the notes or stress to them gluten-free ; even the ones without much English here understand what that means.
Get the Chicken chow fun, kung pao chicken, garlic jalapeno chicken (GF) and the spicy yellow curry chicken rice.
I highly recommend you take this home, if you do. You are almost always have a good experience. I have eaten here at least 20 times and been sick only once; and only mildly, meaning who knows if it was actually the food. I wouldn’t risk eating IN the restaurant because of contamination risks with the table, utensils etc but
THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST GF NOODLES AND CHINESE FOOD YOU CAN GET Anywhere near OC or Long Beach or LA.
It deserves a much higher rating because this is exactly the kind of thing people like us are always looking for and it’s a SHAME that it’s been voted down.
Any non-dedicated GF facility requires common sense ; order yourself to stress GF, pick up yourself, eat at home (or somewhere safe) with utensils and things you know aren’t dusted with flour or touched by servers handling gluten. Don’t order during peak hours when kitchens are crazy. Follow these simple rules to have a much higher success rate at not glutening yourself unnecessarily.
Nomad is awesome. I came back here to rewrite my original view and add an extra star and extra heart because just because you got sick once is no reason to one star or one heart a place 🤦♂
FindmeGF NEEDS a way to filter out NON celiac reviews and give less credence to ratings based on one visit or one bad experience having their food delivered by god knows who who touched god knows what. 😖

The menu on BeyondMenu.com that is linked from Nomad's website doesn't tell you which items are gluten free. However, their menu on DoorDash.com does list many gluten free items. I was dubious, but I gave it a shot and so pleasantly surprised! The food was so tasty, and I had no allergic reactions.
However, the last two times I've had food delivered from here, I've gotten glutened.

So bummed, I was so excited to try this place and asked multiple people multiple times that my meal was gluten free and was told yes every time. I got super sick a couple hours later and I will not be going back.

Can I just say, wow! An Asian restaurant that has almost everything on the menu available in gluten free? And it's delicious too??? I have found a new favorite spot where I know I won't get contaminated.

Got to say this was so exciting to go to and have real Chinese! It was gf, yet tasted like Chinese food! So excited I found this! Yes, it is a little expensive, but the portions were good and we had left overs for two days!

For someone who has only eaten P.F. Chang’s for years (and the quality is meh), this place is a grand slam. The menu is labeled, the portions are enormous, and the food is so good. Never had a bad reaction, staff very knowledgeable.

Their menu list out what is gf and vegan. Most of the seafood items are gf because they either have a dedicated fryer or they only batter with gf flour. This has been confirmed by the chef/owner, who seems quite proud of such considerations. The staff seems to be very aware of what’s gf and do not seem bothered if they have to ask the kitchen for things they don’t know offhand. Ive eaten here with my celiac wife and omnivore father-in-law and every single time we’ve visited, the food is incredibly flavorful, fast and fresh tasting. It is also the only Chinese restaurant in the US that is halal so no pork on the menu. Night time is super busy but daytime is more mellow and they have a great lunch special menu.

This restaurant has a ton of gluten free options, which is hard to find for an Asian/Chinese restaurant. So many good food. Halal restaurant too.
