I go to this restaurant often with my job and family and order the same safe meal. I always tell the waitress about my allergies. But this time I was glutened. Hoping this is an isolated incident because it’s one of my favorite places to eat. But also afraid to try it again because the pain isn’t worth it.

I was so pleased when the server displayed an amazing fluency in gluten issues. She told me about the gluten-free pizza crust and the gluten-free pasta. She said that most dishes could be made gluten free with the appropriate substitutions or elimination of gluten products. And if I had any questions about any particular entree, the chef will be glad to accommodate. I had the gluten-free pasta with the pesto sauce, without the capers (they are fried in a shared fryer), and everything was delicious!

My daughter is celiac. North Italia in El Segundo is a really nice place in Los Angeles. A lot of plates on the menu are indicated as being gluten free. Waiter was well aware of celiac requirements and dubbelchecked with the kichen to be on the safe side. Food was really good, both the regular pasta and the gluten free options.

High prices, small portions. Many items can be made gluten free (they say). I ordered a $15 salad and was planning to split my wife’s pizza that she considerately ordered with the GF crust. After my tiny little salad was delivered, they came back saying they were out of gluten free crust. So my wife got a pizza that we couldn’t share. Later I discovered that they tacked on a GF pizza crust charge of $2.50 for a pizza that was never delivered. I flagged it as celiac friendly, based in their menu, but I didn’t have a good experience. I didn’t get sick but paid an outrageous price for a meal I couldn’t enjoy.

I was glad to find that although not listed on their menu they do make GF pizza, so ask. They also have GF pasta though I did not try it. My friends who had food off the regular menu said that the spaghetti and meatballs was really delicious. Nice atmosphere, especially the patio on a spring night.
Yes
This might be the best gf pizza I have had. The crust was light and crispy. It seemed to be the size of a normal pizza which was appreciated.

Delicious! And creative! Like another comment, I wanted the truffle bread, but gluten free, and they used their GF pizza crust to replicate the dish for me. By far the best GF pizza I've ever had! It's thicker and softer than places like Blaze and Mod and Maddio's. All pasta options on the menu are offered GF, and they'll try to find a way to make other menu items GF if requested. Have already been back! Definitely a new favorite.

I had one of the best meals I’ve experienced since having to go GF! They have GF pasta and I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. Would recommend and would go again for sure.

Had options for GF pasta and pizza. There was 3 of us all that were gluten free with different sensitivities. By half way through I could tell it wasn’t gluten free and had issues. And by the time the other two got home they also had issues

Ordered a salad without bread as the GF options were only penne pasta and premade cauliflower crust pizza. Kale salad was good with salmon atop. Server was good to point out where cross contamination might be possibe.
