Used to love this place but it's become very hit or miss with the cross contamination. It's definitely tasty but I got glutened the last time I went and haven't been back since.

I went through the whole process of asking detailed questions about their gluten free process and options. The risk seemed very low. I got the tonkotsu ramen and within a half hour of eating I was extremely sleepy. Thinking it was just carb overload we continued on our way home. I was very out of it the whole ride and the second we got home, I got violently sick and have been for days. I know this was gluten because my kids had the same thing and did not get sick at all.

I am frequently visiting San Diego and always on the lookout for places to eat with Gluten Free food. Found this little gem and was thrilled to get some GF Ramen as it is difficult to find. It was delicious and I didn’t have any issues. I will be returning again.

I’ve eaten here a few times and never got sick. I’m very sensitive, but they are knowledgeable and take it seriously if you let them know. Will definitely be going back!

Love Nozaru! They are very knowledgeable and accommodating. It’s also nice to actually have options, which is rare. They have a few ramens on the menu that are labeled gluten free. They occasionally have duck foot or cider on tap, too. I’ve never gotten sick after eating here.

Gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu, they have brown rice noodles as an alternative,. Most importantly the ramen is delicious.

Went in intending to try the GF ramen but got distracted by the fact that 3 fun sushi rolls were also GF. Told the waitress that I had a gluten allergy (because many people don’t understand what celiac means) and she told me they were very familiar with gluten protocols. Started with shishito peppers topped with spicy garlic for an app, moved on to 3 different GF rolls that I shared. Waitress also brought out GF soy sauce packets. So amazingly yummy. I have a feeling this will be my go-to date night place. My only caveat is that I’ll bring my own tamari sauce packets next time because their GF soy sauce had several ingredients I don’t care to eat (like food coloring and sweetener).

They have gluten free noodles, as well as GF broth! In my experiences so far, few ramen places actually have GF broth, let alone GF broth that isn’t just veggie!
I’m not a fan of pork (no allergy, just my preference). I love that they have grilled chicken as an option. I’m also super picky about chicken- In general, I usually opt for vegetarian proteins (eggs/tofu) if I think the chicken is sketch. On one occasion, the chicken wasn’t to my standards, and I didn’t eat it. However; I think that was just a one time thing.
Side Note: Apparently, their GF noodles are pretty popular. One time they were really low/almost out, so I received less noodles in my ramen (they told me about it up front). I usually get double GF noodles bc they are a lot thinner than traditional noodles, and except for the one instance, they have always been able to accommodate.

Delicious food, the server was knowledgeable about my celiac son’s needs, the menu is very clear with regard to what can be prepared gluten free. No reaction at all so it is reliably celiac safe.

When it came to the food, this place was great. I got the black heights ramen gf. It was really good. The egg especially, though they only put in half the egg. The wait staff was really friendly and careful. He even brought the bacon on the side because he couldn't determine from the packaging if it was gf. I looked up the beans and couldn't either so I decided to risk it and have had no reaction. The ambiance of the place didn't work as well for me. They were playing a mix of hours from the 70s-80s, loudly. The decorations were odd (like a huge board where you press in letters with a silly saying). And the big TV was playing sports. I thought it might have been a little over priced. $13 something for the ramen plus $2 for the noodles being gf. They were rice noodles but in a ramen style. But the food is great. I'm looking forward to going again.
All soy sauce is gluten free. Plenty of gf option for ramen bowls.

I’ve been dying to find a good gluten free ramen place where there’s not just one option on the menu for me. This place is SO GOOD. The broth is made with tamari and the ramen was so tasty! Got the Black Heights with black garlic sauce. Delish! Def coming back to try the other options.
