Nudy's Cafe

The server said no g-f menu; however clearly marked in the menu are g-f pancakes & waffles. Potatoes are g-f. (No g-f bread products.) The atmosphere is Mom & Pop restaurant all-the-way: which is AOK. Food was delivered efficiently & hot. A good value for a wide variety of dishes.

If you go when it isn't crowded this place is amazing, unfortunately busy times with celiacs isnt safe for pancakes. Slow times pancakes are safe and super fun variations, unfortunately waffles are definitely not celiac friendly at all. Personally I get an omelette when they're busy and ask for it to be cooked in its own pan and have been fine every time I've gone.

I went for their gluten free pancakes. they state on the menu they're not a gluten free facility, so I tested the pancakes with my Nima sensor and they did have gluten in them. ended up with breakfast meats and fruit instead. the server was very friendly and apologetic, but their pancakes and waffles are definitely not gluten free!!

No

The food is delicious but I’ve had symptoms both times I’ve come here. I think I’ll have to cross it off my list. I’d love their recipe if it’s just a cross contact issue (which I assume it is)

Nudy’s is a local breakfast and lunch chain. I got gluten free banana pancakes (they are huge!). Staff was able to clean off a spot on the cooktop for my pancakes since the cooktop is also used for the regular pancakes. The waffles are made in the same waffle iron as regular waffles at this location. The pancakes were delicious and I did not get sick! I will definitely be coming back and will ask more about other GF options (sandwiches, omelettes, etc)
