Review

We have a person with celiac in our family and Naples dining has been nothing but amazing for gluten free options and consideration for people with this condition. Since oak and stone is so close to our house, we decided to order from there one day. I called specifically to check if the burger can be made gluten free and fries are made in dedicated frier and the person on the phone confirmed that both of those are true. So we ordered 100 dollars worth of food for everyone else and the celiac in the family. When I went to pick it up, I double checked if it was gluten free and made in separate fryer. The guy at the front cheerfully told me that fries were fried with pretzels. I asked him again how that was possible given that 30 minutes ago I was told the opposite and that we have someone with severe allergy to gluten. No apology or customer service but he said he’ll double check. When he came back, he once again said that they make it in a shared facility. I asked to talk to a manager because this is terrible misinformation and he cheerfully said he is a manager and what I want him to do. At that point I already paid for the food that I wouldn’t have ordered had a known it was not safe. The fact that I got no apology other than rude cheerfulness forces me to leave this negative review. The non gluten free food was ok but after this experience, I will never go to this restaurant again.
