Review of OAK'D BBQ

I still react to unknown things sometimes, so I’m not sure if I had a celiac reaction or just my own personal gut response after eating here. However, I do highly recommend this place for gluten sensitive people or a brave, stable, celiac friend to truly test the waters.

The food was AMAZING. And the owners were super sweet and personable. They talked me through what was ok for me to eat and got a new cutting board and knife before cutting the meat. And if I remember correctly, the majority of the sides are naturally gluten free!

The place I potentially got cross contaminated was the meats. They change gloves for each person, but use that pair of gloves in preparing the entirety of a persons meal. So meals on bread could be touched and then meats touched with same gloves, but it still seemed like a stretch that I was cross contaminated. I still encourage even a celiac to try this place.
