I was so excited when I sat down and the first question was if we had any “diet restrictions” I explained that I have celiac and I cannot have gluten. The first thing I order I’m told “I know it says it’s gluten free on the menu, but it’s actually not the mixture has gluten in it. Once my second choice comes out I notice the bread looks too “normal” to be gluten free.. I ask the waiter “nope that’s not. Let me grab you gluten free bread” so now not only was I given bread with gluten on my same plate as the rest of my food, it touched it and now I was cross-contaminated. I will not be trying this restaurant again after this inexcusable carelessness.
