I absolutely love off track. I’m about two hours away from it, but when I’m in Charleston I always stop! They have dairy&gluten free options, which is hard to find. I’ve never had a reaction from it! My favorite flavor is the brown sugar oat milk cookies. Definitely stop here! :)

GF & DF ice cream for the win! They had multiple DF options and most were also gluten free but if you can have dairy there were more GF options too! I got the PB&J ice cream and it had homemade peanut butter cookie pieces in it which was so cool and exciting but also delicious and the PB Fudge. Was so happy to find a place that offered both options! They also use dye free sprinkles which was awesome. The girl was kind and got a clean scoop and used a new tub of ice cream to avoid cross contamination. A 10/10 would recommend!

I was in heaven. Finally GF AND DF ice cream that’s GOOD. My only issue is that I can’t have sugar but every once in a blue moon but that’s a me problem and it’s only an issue because I would eat there every day.

Dec 23 update! Went back and even thought it was busy the girl grabbed a clean (out of washer) scoop and got ice cream from a new container. Amazing as always, unsure why there are bad reviews

After looking online at their menu I thought this place would be able to accommodate celiac, however there was definitely cross contamination in the process of making my order, even though I asked them to open a new tub. Will not be going again, unfortunately.

I’m so confused about all the positive reviews. This place is not celiac friendly there is cross contamination everywhere. They use the same scoops for everything “cleaned” in the same water as all the other scoops from gluten touching scoops and gluten cone touching scoops

I’m dairy free and this place is a dream. The best ice cream ever and very clearly marked menu with so many options, including gf cones and dairy free hot fudge and whipped cream. Amazing. We were in Charleston for 3 days and went here each day.

Off Track Ice Cream is special! There are not many ice cream parlors that have an equal amount of regular ice cream AND vegan ice cream options. There were 7 vegan options (I’m also dairy free so that is SO exciting) and 4 of those were GF as well. They have GF sugar cones and cookies to make ice cream sandwiches. They allow samples. The space was beautiful and reasonably priced! It gets BUSY so be ready to wait in line (but they’re quick!). Highly recommend! 🍦

Really good! The were happy to implement an allergy protocol and were well informed about cross contamination. The employee was super thorough — she washed her hands, changed gloves, got a fresh scoop, got a fresh ice cream tub, and opened a fresh set of GF cones. Online and in-store menus mark all GF options. Will be back!

Amazing DF and GF ice creams and a GF sugar cone! If you’re only avoiding gluten, you’ll have more options. They offer a “flight” of ice creams. We shared 4 DF / GF flavors the first night, then we went back every night! So delicious!!! Enough to make me want to plan a return trip to Charleston just to eat more of their ice cream. Bonus, ingredients are locally sourced and many organic ingredients.

Got the strawberry cheesecake that is gf/vegan in a vegan/gf cone. I told them I had celiac and they changed gloves, got my ice cream from a new tub, and were super careful. I haven’t had such good ice cream in a long time. 100% will be back!!!

Had a wonderful experience here! The person taking my order had just put on new gloves anyway, but insisted on washing his hands and putting on another fresh set after I mentioned I had Celiac. They grabbed me a GF cone from a brand new container & gf/df delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream from a brand new pint. 10/10 Will be back!!

Awesome ice cream! Major of the menu is available gluten free, including most of the vegan options if you’re also diary free!! Chocolate PB was fantastic! And they have a GF sugar cone! Staff will change gloves and get a new scoopers and scoop from the back to avoid cross contamination. We’ve eaten here twice in a row and haven’t gotten sick!

Staff will use a clean ice cream scoop not with the other scoops and will scoop from fresh containers in the back. Also had several gluten-free and vegan options that were delicious.

The flight of 4 half scoops was more like 4 whole scoops. All flavors were delicious!
