After speaking with rep, they were nice but confirmed they could not avoid cross contamination. They said if you have celiac they advised at looking at other options to avoid getting sick.

They were wonderful with my daughter. They made gluten free chicken. She said it was so good! They were very knowledgeable.

Server was very knowledgable and helped me customize something safe for me. She even let me pick a pork schnitzel and get it with chicken instead. They are careful, and I did not get sick. I was in town for a job interview, and it was great to find a celiac friendly place they could take me for lunch.

The chef made wiener schnitzel gluten free with a GF coating. It was light, crunchy and delicious as was the warm german potato salad.

Love this place. Real German food and you can get some schnitzel gluten free (they have gluten free bread crumbs). Gypsy schnitzel, chicken Berlin, any others. Ask for sausage appetizer without bread. Amazing red cabbage and pan fried potatoes and traditional cucumber salad. All GF. I’m celiac and have eaten here 20+ times. Ask for Elaine, she is the BEST!

It's true! They can do many menu items GF. I had a wonderful weiner schnitzel last night. They were very busy which probably explains the poor service. But I will go there again for safe and tasty food.

I ate a late lunch here on 9/7/2017. The chef said they had gluten free breading for the schnitzel. I had the Schnitzel Cordon Blue. It was great! How wonderful to have German food again. I also had cucumber salad and German potato salad which were both very tasty. The server was very nice and made sure to ask the chef if the cucumber salad and potato salad were gluten free. They don't have a gluten free menu, but they are very willing to work with you.

Ol Heidelburg will provide menu items gluten free upon request. it was great to have schnitzel again. I love German food, and they have lots of options. Evan had a chocolate and vanilla mousse pie for dessert that was gluten free. Good German food which I highly recommend. I am gluten sensitive, but not celiac, so I don't know if it is safe for celiacs. I had no adverse reaction.
