Olas Arepas

Arepas are one of my favorite foods and Olas Arepas were very good. I ate here several times on a short trip in Auckland.

The staff can answer all of your gluten-free questions and they were very helpful. Don't feel pressure when you're ordering from the tablet - ask them questions instead of guessing. It's a really small kitchen in a food hall but most of the menu is gluten-free. It felt safe and it was good.

I had such a great experiences having dinner here last month. As Arepas are made from corn, most of the menu already is naturally gluten-free. Still make sure though to double check with your waiter as some sauces/ fillings aren’t. However, the majority of the menu was gluten-free and the food was so delicious and fresh. Highly recommend to try the fries as well. :)

Fantastic! Great flavors and plenty of options!

That said and contrary to other reviews, this is not a dedicated facility. Some items are not GF but are available as a GF option. Not all staff seem thoughtful about communicating this, which is concerning…

Delicious food, nearly everything is gluten free however their cola is not… which I discovered too late. My own fault for assuming, but something for others to be aware of!
