My daughter (10 years old) has celiac disease. The waiter told us what she could and couldn’t choose from the menu. She wanted a pasta dish and most of them they could make gf with spaghetti. In fact they ended up making a different sauce for her (they offered) since she chose one of the days specialities. Also they brought her gf bread without us asking. All of us had a very pleasant meal.

Although other reviewers had a good experience here, we felt immediately that it’s a tourist trap and their GF credentials are overstated. The gluten free offerings are far more limited than their website indicated, we were served water in plastic bottles(?!? - the only place in Rome this happened), and when we started explaining celiacs, the waiter was rude, said “So what is it that you don’t eat?” in a way that made it clear he didn’t recognize the term “celiac” (he was not a native Italian speaker himself). We felt so uncertain about their ability to provide safe GF food after this interaction that we left without eating.

Almost all dishes can be made gluten free. All waiters immediately understood us in English and even gave us gluten free bread on the table without us asking. Food was delicious and fairly priced as well!

This restaurant was such a find! Located in an old 15th century convent, most things could be made gluten-free. The food was excellent! And the prices were so much more reasonable than the touristy places nearby. Highly recommend!
