Warning-despite a GF menu being available we had major issues here! An outing for several families was scheduled here due to a few attendees being allergic to gluten among other food allergies. The website indicated this would be a safe place with accommodations and a phone call indicated we would have no issues when I called and explained that severe allergies would be present.

There was a GF menu but the waitress was completely untrained (for instance, in separate instances mentioned butter and potato starch as being regular sources of gluten) and also didn’t seem to take the concerns of those with allergies seriously. In total three plates had to be sent back for having obvious gluten contamination and in one case the returned plate showed signs of being the same plate with the offending items scraped off rather than a completely new (and safe) plate of food. One person in our party was ill before we left the restaurant.

I cannot in any way recommend this establishment for those with gluten sensitivity. Heck, I can barely recommend it just based on food quality but that is another issue I suppose. If you or someone in your party has gluten issues I recommend you look elsewhere unless the Inn can prove they have trained their staff better and are taking food allergies seriously.
