I will NEVER go back. I ordered off the gluten sensitive menu, and ended up getting so sick I spent the rest of the day in my hotel trying to recover. I discovered that the U.S. restaurants have a lot more options than the Canadian ones which was highly disappointing considering I live in a city that doesn’t have Olive Garden and always looking forward to dining there. But NEVER this location again!!!

When I asked my server for the salad off the designated gluten sensitive menu they asked me if it was okay if they served the dressing with the salad. I asked if it’s on the GF menu does that not mean I can eat it as it is listed and they replied with we don’t know. They asked the manager about it and was told it was safe to consume. I have no idea if my server listed my GF meals as preference or allergy even though I specifically stated it was for celiacs and it is not preference. The meal I got made me quite ill. I likely will not go back as it seems their staff is not properly trained on how to handle allergens. There may be a disconnect between the servers and the kitchen when it comes to allergens.

My experience tonight at Olive Garden was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable about my options. Then the manager came over and acknowledged that I had requested for gluten-free options and insured me that they would change gloves to maximize safety. Then a third person came over to serve food and he pointed out that it was gluten-free and that they changed their gloves when making my food. I don't have allergies, but I am sensitive to gluten. I don't know if it would be safe for celiac, but it was safe for me.

I have eaten here twice and both times it was great! The servers are knowledgeable and their menu has everything labeled well so you can see what you have to choose from! They also instantly knew and aknowledged no croutons on the salad as soon as I mentioned a gluten allergy. I do wish they had more sauce options than what was listed.
