Recently ate at Olive Garden, the staff was very good and knowledgeable about my wheat allergy. From the gluten free menu I ordered the Soup and the rotini with meat sauce. The soup was even all you could eat and delicious. The rotini was really good too. I had no reactions. I will definitely eat here again.

I was visiting Cape Girardeau yesterday as choose to eat here due to the gluten free menu. I asked for a gluten free menu and ordered the caesar salad from that menu. I noticed that the kids gluten free option was grilled chicken breast so I asked to have that added to my salad. *So I ordered a gluten free caesar salad with gluten free grilled chicken from the gluten free menu.* When it arrived I was quick enough to notice the chicken was breaded. I sent it back (with MUCH confusion). They offered to re-make my meal, only the other people on my party were almost finished with their meal at this point. I asked to just put it in a to-go box. When I decided to finally have my meal, it as the same chicken, brushed off. There were still lots of bits of the breading. This is completely unacceptable. Granted they did comp our meal, and therefore I have no server name or ticket number .... once they handed me the to-go box no one EVER even stopped by our table again. Finally we just walked out. VERY RUDE and unprofessional. **YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR MANAGERS EXPLAIN THE SERIOUSNESS OF GLUTNE FREE CUSTOMERS IF YOU ARE GOING TO OFFER A GLUTEN FREE MENU!!!!!** It was more than obvious that the server had NO CLUE what gluten free even meant. My 'to-go' new salad was OBVIOUSLY the same chicken, scrapped off. You can still see breading!!! This was seriously pathetic. Me nor my family will never step foot into your establishments EVER again. Shame on you OG. This was despicable.

My experience tonight at Olive Garden was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable about my options. Then the manager came over and acknowledged that I had requested for gluten-free options and insured me that they would change gloves to maximize safety. Then a third person came over to serve food and he pointed out that it was gluten-free and that they changed their gloves when making my food. I don't have allergies, but I am sensitive to gluten. I don't know if it would be safe for celiac, but it was safe for me.

I have eaten here twice and both times it was great! The servers are knowledgeable and their menu has everything labeled well so you can see what you have to choose from! They also instantly knew and aknowledged no croutons on the salad as soon as I mentioned a gluten allergy. I do wish they had more sauce options than what was listed.
