Worst GF pasta! very disappointed
If I want to eat over priced noodles and pasta sauce and that's it I'd go here. Their options are horrid.
My son has Celiac Diease and is 12 yrs old. He loves the Olive Garden. We have had great experiences with dining there. They didn't forget to leave off the Croutons on the salad and helped use navigate the menu with options and understanding. It made dining that much smoother for our family. Thank you!
ok attempt but very disappointed, had to send my steak back twice because it was so undercooked. they recognized the mistake but very disappointed with menu options and flavor.
We went to Olive Garden because they have a gf menu but an order of gf pasta for one of our party of four with celiac came out and tasted good until she discovered a wheat pasta noodle in the dish. Manager and waiter were very apologetic but I would never trust this restaurant agan.
Olive Garden is a great restaurant! I love their food, but ever sense I started gluten free I can't eat the breadsticks, or pasta that I always used to eat there. I think Olive Garden is very great but I think they should make gluten free bread and pasta for gluten free diets. They need a gluten free, separate menu
Lack of options and flavor. They haven't changed their gf menu at all over three years! Super expensive for tasteless food. I have celiac disease and all it does is just reminds of what I can't eat. This isn't some fad diet to me it's a lifestyle so if your going to offer it, then offer edible food. It's like they could care less.
I would not recommend this particular restaurant. We have eaten at other Olive Garden restaurants without a problem. Unfortunately, my daughter started feeling the effects of gluten before we even got home (neuropathy in her legs and upset stomach). I called the manager at the time & they were very apologetic. We believe the waitstaff was new and "took off" the croutons from the salad instead of getting a new one. It is likely a training issue & may have been fixed. My daughter refuses to eat there now for obvious reasons.
About 7 or 8 choices
Found a piece of regular spaghetti in my GF pasta dish. This was after the manager had told me that she would make sure it was prepared correctly. I got so sick!! A month later, my daughter, who does not have celiac, ordered the same thing and she also had a piece of regular spaghetti in her GF pasta dish. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, IF YOU HAVE CELIAC OR A SEVERE ALLERGY!
My mom and I both have Celiac Disease. We ordered a GF salad and it looked alright until we got to the bottom of the serving bowl where there was a crouton. Mistakes happen. They brought us a new salad and everything was fine. Then we requested a refill and again there was a crouton at the bottom. Unfortunately, this time my mom ate some before she found it. The waitress and manager were very apologetic and promised to make sure the people in back are more aware of how serious Celiac Disease is and comped our meal. I just hope my mom doesn't get sick. 5 stars for service but 0 for safety, which weighs more in my opinion.
decent selections, some waiters and waitresses are not as knowledgeable as they could be..but when my meal was contaminated with a side that I didn't order and was not gluten free, the manager introduced herself and genuinely apologized and had the issue properly corrected.
Pros: They have a gluten free menu. Cons: Not very knowledgeable about gluten free. They didn't have any gluten free desserts, breadsticks, and few pasta options. Also had a bit of an attitude and simply not celiac friendly. Pasta was okay, but not spectacular. Definitely better options out there.
This place was absolutely horrendous, in terms of GF knowledge/sensitivity and service in general. Both the host and server were very rude and condescending when I asked for a GF menu for both myself and my friend. I also have a bad wheat allergy, and tried to make sure both of them knew I couldn't have bread anywhere near me. My friend ordered the house salad for an appetizer without croutons. They just picked them out, and left one behind, which I found. I had to leave the restaurant in a hurry because I hadn't brought my allergy medication inside with me, and the entire time the server and manager were trying to get me to stay and make it worse! Just because they have a GF menu doesn't mean they are willing to be understanding for your needs!
I had gf pasta/sauce and added chicken. it was really good! They had an electronic Tablet that can help you select allergens/food choices. waitress also brought a binder listing allergens. After years of getting sick from eating at restaurants, its nice to dine with family and feel well. They didn't have a lot of choices but they do have several. I'd recommend!
GF menu is offered with very limited choices. The waiter tried to understand and said that he would write gluten allergy with my order. I was a few bites in when I found a pasta shell and my hubby pulled my plate away. I had hoped it had fallen onto my plate as it was on the side. The manager came out with my second plate saying "this one was prepared separate from the rest." Staff must not be trained at all in cross contamination. As the meal progressed, it was very obvious that I was not ok. They comped my meal but the manager was very unapologetic. Not safe, I do not recommend.
