I’ve eaten at many Olive Garden locations with no problem and always had the chef confirm everything was gluten free but the last time I ordered gluten free at the specific location I found a shell pasta mixed in with my gluten free pasta. Just a warning to those who are also incredibly sensitive.

I had checked on their website and found they had some gluten-free options but just to be safe I called the restaurant beforehand. I was told they had some gluten free options which could be found on their website and if I needed extra assistance once at the restaurant regarding the proper care of my meal, that would be provided. Regardless, I came in mentally prepared to have a hard time with the waiter (which I did). As I was given the menu I noticed that the gluten free options were not listed. I kindly showed the waiter the gluten free option I wanted from my phone and asked if I was able to get that. The waiter did not seem informed on gluten intolerance at all. After a lot of back and forth, I was told that the only thing gluten free was the actual pasta, thus none of the sauce and possibly toppings were gluten free. So I was offered plain pasta and that's all! As someone with Celiac Disease, I found this extremely disrespectful. Please don't lie and say you have options for those with allergies when you really don't. Although I know gluten intolerance and celiac disease are not common, it is not proper to give false advertisement of your food.

AMAZING experience! They had all allergens listed on the ziosk. When I said I have celiac, they told the kitchen and all servers who would be attending to my table and everything was prepared separately to avoid any cross contamination. They even had separate servers bring out my food to avoid it.

My experience tonight at Olive Garden was excellent. The waitress was knowledgeable about my options. Then the manager came over and acknowledged that I had requested for gluten-free options and insured me that they would change gloves to maximize safety. Then a third person came over to serve food and he pointed out that it was gluten-free and that they changed their gloves when making my food. I don't have allergies, but I am sensitive to gluten. I don't know if it would be safe for celiac, but it was safe for me.
